I was intrigued by O Sole Mio, but then, exactly like you said, Mamma Mia came out and I wasn't thrilled; I like the song a lot now, but at the time it felt generic and lackluster. Luckily, this comeback totally delivered! I can't wait to check out more of their discography.
I'm so glad that Hwiyoung is finally getting some shine (he's the one who does the beginning of the chorus that you liked!). One thing I was a little sad about in the music video was that it didn't show quite as much of the choreography as I kinda wanted it to (uGH THE DP IS SO GOOD), but they really made up for it with the sets and lighting. Chani's solo gave me life tbh, and Hwiyoung completely owning the center at the chorus. Yes. I'm really glad they did this kind of concept, because I really didn't like Mamma Mia. Too bright/neon, and urk the haircuts/colors were a big no for me. This, on the other hand is, well, sensuous. Like you said, it's smooth and also kind of subtle.

This is definitely one of my favourite SF9 title tracks along with Easy Love aka a perfectly formulated pop song. I agree that Mama Mia was just eh. It's not my favourite title track but personally after a few listens it got better.
