The URL should allow the home assistant interface but I’ve added the Android Debug Bridge to the original NSP Pro in order to connect it to home assistant, but then it doesn’t update firmware automatically anymore, so you have to find a file of the update and push it to the device. Last time I looked the Sonoff integration in HA didn’t support the NSPP. Suspect you can just create a virtual device using the ewelink Cube palette in node Red and synchronise it with a HA “helper” using MQTT. That is what I do on iHost.
You mention in your video that it supports rtsp and you can talk back to the camera but i cant see mention of two way comms in the doc. Can you ahow an ezample of this? And can the intercom 1) call a NsPanel non pro and 2) can you set the panel to auto answer so you can broadcast a message to all units? Thanks
Remind everybody how much reviewers hated on the NSPanel Pro 86 when it came out. How they (and you?) all said it was not worth it etc etc. Guess Sonoff has delivered. Cuz I'm real happy with my NSPanel Pro 86 and just bought two 120s. Great review as always though.
I liked my original review to to that. I hated that launch as I never slated product so badly. I'm glad it got the update that ITEAD should have launched with. At least these who bought it back then ended up with functional device rather this being abandoned in favour of new model.
Thanks for the presentation. How is the Home Assistant integration for these panels? I mean other than displaying a HA dashboard via url... Is there an interesting open source custom firmware that can be used instead together with HA?
Looking at the official website, the device supports node red and home bridge so it should work with most hubs, including home assistant out of the box
so sonoff released the same product again... with the same issues again... and... once again... no actual relays... Can you please make a video review on that (actual) nice switch that you had in your shorts where it had a screen and 3 physical buttons to the right?
12:10 It would be VERY cool since you don't always know things like for green your grid is. I pay a flat rate, but I'd still prefer to use cheaper (whole to the monopoly because then they can't raise rates per regulations), which also happens to be GREEN energy in the solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, geothermal sense. Heck, Project Idea, somewhere with an existing ESP8266 running, add a scale (PWN darkened) showing grid cleanliness if your area fluctuates a lot
If it was able to also control Tuya / Smart Life devices it would be perfect for me. My ceiling fans are Tuya / Smart Life and I hate having to use the remote to control the lights and fan.
Not sure it’s legal in U.K. just to remove a switch. Think all lighting circuits have to have an physical On/OFF point so you can kill power to the circuit. I turned on Android Debug Bridge on my old Pro and it no longer gets automatic updates sent to it. That interface does look nicer though; maybe I will search for a file of the update. Any idea which update saw the improvement or failing that what is the current firmware version?
I not sure that is the case. Can you point me as to where in BS 7621 "Requirements for electrical Installations" this is stated. Personally I would always have a physical switch for lighting circuits but I'm not sure that is a legal requirement. For example you could have a security light on motion detection. In any case most UK installations will have a seperate breaker for the lighting circuit.
It's I believe legal. You are not really removing the power to the light circuit. lights are in parallel to that circuit so you are only controlling the access to individual light
Home Assistant?
The only real question!!

@@JGNiDKabsolutely correct. No easy home assistant? It’s a non starter! A total waste of time! Just MO.
Without custom firmware you can only display dashboard from HA.
@@notenoughtech so via web it is possible right?

This would be down to matter or 3rd party firmware as current software makes no provision for rest endpoints etc.

It will be covered soon.. I have to stick to the dates they give me :)
Does it connect to the cloud or is it all local?
@@user-ic6xf works with Ewelink cloud. Offers LAN mode as most Ewelink devices

You can use the NR dashboard for this. I solved it for one device here: notenoughtech.com/featured/pc-dashboard-using-netio-power-cables/

I have one from Tuya slated for a review... soon soon soon
@@notenoughtech What's the ETA on the one for Tuya review? :)
it is with HA dashboard opened as a webpage
Thank you sir.
Does it run Tuya zigbee devices?
some.
@@eberger02 any way to know which they do and which one they dont. I bought Zigbee Tuya Siren and I want to know if NS Panel Pro can detect it
The rule of thumb is - if a similar device is available in eWeLink then you should be able to pair it

Ofcourse you could move the physical switch

@@MAMDAVEM you're not installing a circuit so 'Requirements for electrical Installations' is irrelevant. You're modifying a pre-existing circuit.
Mqtt?
Not at the moment
Cheaper is using an old mobile phone. Much cheaper 😊
Likely. You are paying for a dedicated elegant solution..
yes but then you'd have to remove the battery for best practice, make a cover use an ugly angled usb wire or a full wireless charging setup
Stop waiting and start doing, 2 years is 1 year and 11 months too long!
I 100% agree
