@mrbrokkencia Fala Bahia! Valeu mesmo pelo comentário! É sempre bom ter um conterraneo curtindo nosso trabalho! Abração meu rei e espero fazer um som com você um dia destes na nossa terra abeçoada! Marcus
Hi HaveYourselfaCup Did you try rolling the little nob on the side of the caixa? That should tighten the snare closer to the drum head! Let us know how that goes! Marcus
because caixa are a little bit different, caixas are smaller diameter but deeper and traditionally played with the snares on top. also snares are made of guitar strings.
Hi Breno! There is another video on this lpmusicgroup TH-cam channel that I do a solo using the rhythm from this class! Its called Multiplicity in Samba Reggae by Marcus Santos Hope you dig it too! Marcus
@asenseofhate Yeah, I had a lot of fun playing these drums, they sound good! The LP staff is very friendly too! That helped a lot! Plus, if you are not having fun doing it... why bother, right? Hope to meet you in person one day and thank you so much for your words! Marcus
Hi Marcus, maybe you are my relative, because my last name used to be Santos as well. I've been living in United States for over 15 years now. My married name is McConnon. Anyway, I love your musics.
PERGUNTA: - Voce faz Esses Videos Tutoriais para os Brazukas ou os Gringos??? do oyu speaking portugues??frances??oclahoma??domenikan??pablones?? Mas the lessons are very good and easy to learn guri.
Cool! I have a LP Caixa, but with the snares on it sounds like shit. How to you tighten it up to sound more like a normal snare drum when you have the snares down?
Wow! So much more complicated than it always seems :) My question for you--As an American, I can detect very quickly where people are from within my country based on their speaking accents (New Orleans, New York, Boston, etc.) As a percussionist, can you do the same with rythyms? Can you tell, for instance, "that player is from ________ (this part of) Brazil, Honduras, El Salvador, etc.?
@TheAnton61 Hi! Keep trying and enjoy the challenge! I promise it will feel great when you get it! Please send a note when you have it! =] Good luck! Marcus
