How long have you been a mud man? I'm retired now, but ran drilling fluid in WY, UT, NV, CO, ID, AZ, NM for majors and independents for nearly 30yrs. I ran a dozen engrs., I was also Manager of Sales. After working for majors like Baroid for a few years I went to work for Independents. Driving 70-80k year on dirt, snow covered roads was a dream, lol... It was a great job though, I loved the outdoors. The job gave me plenty of time for fishing, hunting etc.. I couldn't have asked for more...

I think it is x 400 for the hardness titration. 0.2 x 400 = 80 mg/L

When he got 2 ml filterate why did he doubled it?

Usually, when you measure filtration you wait 30 minutes. But you can do it faster by waiting 7 minutes and doubling result and adding +1. But it will not always be accurate
