It may not be the ultimate sega Saturn handheld BUT it’s the ultimate sega nomad/gamegear. I really hope they make a model with 2 thumb sticks. So out of principle I had to buy one just so they know it will sell since most people will pass on it. Still waiting for mine to come, pretty excited but so far it’s been 10 long days of waiting and it’s still hasn’t left china.
I was originally thinking about buying a sega nomad some time ago Untill I learnt pretty quickly it’s very difficult since they never came out in the u.k. iv personally only ever seen 2 for sale in the wild and then never again. They sold for roughly £350 to £400 and in beat up condition missing the battery pack so they can only be played whilst been plugged in the wall socket which kinda defeats the purpose. Modded game gears are around in abundance but even then they cost double the price of the arc. so for me personally I felt it was a no brainier and a day one purchase just to play those two systems. I agree with 4/5 score since it is a shame the Saturn can’t be played but I never owed or played a Saturn when I was young, I can clearly see the arc wasn’t intended to be used to play Nintendo or psp and the Dreamcast for that matter. (Although I feel like Resident evil 1 2 3 and code Veronica would be great on this device)
I like that it looks comfy to hold, stacked shoulder buttons, and the 6 buttons on the face is a W. Great review as always dude. And Wait And Bleed is another banger of a song 🤘 (as all the songs you choose are)
That DF handheld is a crazy good deal for atari through 16 bit. Too small for me but for an entry level old school emu handheld... i could totally see them selling a ton of tgem
Well the Sega Saturn d-pad was in my opinion the best d-pad ever made. This one looks similar but appears slightly elevated than on a normal Saturn pad, but hopefully its feel is just as smooth and as precise. Thanks for the video.
Anyone knows if the cheaper Anbernic RG Arc "S " Linnux version has the custom firmware working on it or is it only the more expensive D version that has custom firmware working?
Ok..many SS games don't run very well..but, aren't these handled to be updated?is there no possibility these games will run better in future ?great video bravo
I made a recent video showing 40 playable Sega Saturn Games on this. Please check it out. Hopefully, there should be a new update soon for it to run all smoothly. Let's wait for that to happen.

I gave it 4/5 just for that reason :) I'm sure you will enjoy when you get yours.

No bum sticks

I was waiting for your comment 😎🤘🏻

I recently got an Evercade, but I'm seriously thinking of returning it and getting this as it seems almost perfect for me.
Keep the evercade and get this one too 🙂
I'm still waiting for Anbernic to send me my RG-ARC D. 🥺
Hopefully, you will get it soon 😊👍🏻
Me too +1 taiwan player
Me too still 😢😂
The sound on the $20 Data Frog sounded really good to me, especially with it having only 1 speaker.
The Data Frog was actually so loud that I had to reduce the sound a bit for the speaker comparison 😅

It is indeed one of the best D-pad 👌🏻 I'd say it's worth buying for playing some good old fighting games 😀
The Dpad and buttons are similar to the megadrive/genesis 6 button controller that was out before the saturn.
It was called a "floating Dpad"
Can’t wait for mine to ship!
😎👍🏻

Ahahahah love your "Wait and Bleed" intro!!
😎🤘🏻
Was that an 8-bit version of wait and bleed lol but thanks for the video it was very informative
Yes it is 👍🏻 thanks for watching.
The custom firmware by Retro Arena currently in beta runs Saturn games MUCH better than stock firmware.
That's awesome!
Hi, did you try the sound output with headphones ? I read somewhere that there were background noise...
I haven't tested it out, I'm currently on vacation, and I will definitely do it once I'm back.
Thanks@@bigretrostudio
This review is a real honest one. I agree with all his points.
🙂
But Sega Saturn Version with a
Extra stick would cool too
😎👍🏻💯

This is the best version ever
🙌🏼
intresting tho ,sad it doesnt run all of ss games :/
Yup 🥲
Please tell me MVC2 runs good!
Yes
Would be nicer with a t610 or t618.
Oh, definitely! 😀
No we've had enough Android Handhelds for one lifetime. A A311D, A311D2, or S922X would be better for this Handheld. 🤣
Haha I'm sure Anbernic would be planning that only for years to come with small upgrades to keep selling 😄
Can it run Panzer Dragoon Saga?
I'll have to check it out 👍🏻
@bigretrostudio notify me please.
Probably not. 😕
Streets of Rage 2, nice screenshot!
Hope you spotted the scene in the video :)
@@bigretrostudio The style of this video is innovative and I love it! I hope it becomes a trend! Thank you, Sir.
Your comment made my day 😊
@@bigretrostudio 👏😀
More under power handhelds ugh
I'm guessing Anbernic is saving the more powerful chipset for the year 2024 😏
