Which makes sense because before the heresy they used their magic to do shit like cure cancer or help train normal human psykers and warriors on prospero.

Think about creating a successor chapter with the chimera gene seed of both white scars and thousand sons would be pretty awesome too. That way you can switch off if need be for games like playing a white scars fast melee based army with some psychers or a heavily psycher based army with good melee throughout the higher ranks of the army. I’ve made a salamander and blood angels successor army based around the mutation of the black dragons when the black rage takes hold of these marines. Really fun making the whole range of troops not just assault intercessors but a good portion of heavy intercessors if I want to change tactics between games love the carnage of fire, melee, and lots of anti hood based weapons.
Magnus fucked alot of stuff up but dam i want to see him redeemed it could be grate plot device in the future to bring back the khan as well and put the white scars in the lime light

Yeah Magnus was super popular, I think only Horus and Sanguinius beat him in that regard among all the brothers, he was also close to Perturabo which is by itself quite the feat.

When Xa was killed by Eidolon, he was the last person to talk to him. He was struggling intensely with the flesh change, And used the little bit of power he had left after the fight and risked the flesh change to an immense degree to speak to Xa psychically as he died. Genuinely heartbreaking.

Janus of the Grey Knights, actually. But it's definitely not impossible that while he and the other Grand Masters were getting their old Progenoid glands swapped out with GK ones, his TS ones were hustled off by one of Malcador's agents to create the Blood Ravens.
How didn't this member of the thousand sons succumb to the horrific mutations that the rest of his brothers suffered from? How did he avoid getting transformed into a rubric marine?
Heads up, if you want to read this book, don't listen to the audio book. It's extremely hard to understand. They use a heavy heavy japanese accent that's extremely deep, so it's very hard to understand the narrator unfortunately. I listened to the whole thing realizing I barely understood what happened
