I had the honer of palying with Tatiana and Molyl adkins at the bluegrass at he beach workshop. Along with Todd Phillips the worlds best bass player, Aspen Clayton, Tim triechler and myself Dennis Fehling. it's so great to see how this little gem has grown. Dennis Fehling
One of my all time favorite things I've ever seen. I'm thrilled and in your debt young man. Beautiful, compelling, moving!! Just GREAT!!! Thanks again! Old Tom
As time draws near my dearest dear when you and I must part How little you know of the grief and woe in my poor aching heart Tis but I'd suffer for your sake, believe me dear it's true I wish that you were staying here or I was going with you I wish my breast were made of glass wherein you might behold Upon my heart your name lies wrote in letters made of gold In letters made of gold my love, believe me when I say You are the one that I will adore until my dying day The blackest crow that ever flew would surely turn to white If ever I prove false to you bright day will turn to night Bright day will turn to night my love the elements will mourn If ever I prove false to you the seas will rage and burn
People misunderstand Old Time music is not a concert music it is a music that all peoples of all skill levels played and still do as I do though the musicans are very good of course.
I hear the wind whistle past the gable Turf smoke smarting my eyes Though cosy and warm All the more chilling For still I hear you crys "A Ríogain Uasail"
does anyone have the rendition of Pretty Saro performed by Tatiana, recorded at this performance? (could be another live performance, but she was around this age) It is hands down my favorite rendition of the song, and I can't find it on TH-cam. I think it was taken down.
The Immortan Joe sadly I think it was taken down.. i know its on spotify but not sure if its from the live recording.. Truly beautiful.. her vocals make it..
voilaviolamh it may be. Do you know the name of the dvd? I've been searching but didn't have much to go on. This would be a huge help. Edit: I think it's volume III
voilaviolamh I think The Show Ponies' version is even slower. Personally, I prefer this song being played slowly. It fits much better with the content, in my opinion. This version in particular is really good.
pl;ease keep the Appalachian music alive- life is nothing without it- well sung-
viola and cello. How beautiful
this kid is a national treasure
Well said, I agree! She's simply wonderful.
Tatiana is amazing. Just knowing she exists brings joy to my heart.
Beautiful

Go, girl! Beautiful harmony with the cello.
A very fyne and stirring version..Great job.. Love the Cello!
Her voice is wonderful for this kind of music. Powerful, passionate, edging on out of control but always reigned in. Bravo.
A beautiful rendition of a historical folk song. Thanks, Tatiana!
I feel nostalgic for some reason..
This song makes me feel calm、
Beautiful. Everytime I have a heavy heart I play this video. Thank you for picking this song :)

Speed was perfect, awesome interpretation.
Flippin SWEET ! Nice job lil sister.
Singing and playing this fiddle is the hardest thing I have ever tried to do.
WOW.
wicket job tati!
@Daisycreme i think it's Red Rocking Chair
@amyeatsbrownies , i think that maybe she is just smaller (since she's young in this video) and the bow is a standard size... like hollywood magic!
whats the second song in this vid? i get goosebumps when i hear this...
It is also Red Rocking Chair, lots of old time songs have multiple names and lyrics

are you sure? i don´t think so
Acoustics are very poor. Can't even hear her voice but for the instruments.
Really very nice but should be a little faster
Oh, god, what a horrible, tone-deaf performance. Sounded like a demon trying to sing. Please stop.
Every note is right.
not bad here still too slow, get rid of the cello
voilaviolamh I think The Show Ponies' version is even slower. Personally, I prefer this song being played slowly. It fits much better with the content, in my opinion. This version in particular is really good.
Find it dark and haunting and the cello adds to that. I love this slowed down version
