It's my favorite album, only because it's so underrated. So many time people say "these songs are amazing and they sound like a7x but I've never heard them" hearing that makes my day every time
I think they are so low because they were added late to spotify without a marketing push. They were just there one day like two years ago. If they were on there from the start I'm sure it would be much higher

To me, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is extremely underrated. I just love hearing the version of bands before they explode in popularity. Especially the version of the album before Synyster Gates joined the band and Zacky Vengeance did all of the guitar writing and performances. And The Rev's drum solo in "Darkness Surrounding" is unreal!

Something no one mentions is Spotify didn’t come out until 2008. A lot of the “lower” ranked songs are much older predating streaming. I’d say Bat Country and Afterlife are prob more popular.

Nowadays, it only has 500m listens, but back then, it was as massive as the greatest hits today.

I think "Diamonds in the rough" is underated because many fans didn't know it even existed, and I don't blame them back in the days many people could mistake it just as a Live Concert and not an actual album. I met a couple of fans that didn’t know about it until they released the album again back in 2020. They thought it was a completely new album and they were in shock when they found out it was from 2008 😅

it wouldn't be a fair comparison anyway since every other song has been out for so many years and has had the chance to get millions upon millions of plays. that's probably the reason nobody is so far down the list
people gave one or two listens just to give up and trash on it. honestly i think The Stage was one of the best album they made to date. I fell in love with it right away when it first released, and so does Nobody. people should really give it a chance

I love that alot of my personal favs are deep cuts, especially from STST. I think the entire beginning of that album is some of a7x’s best work that really let us hear their raw and true emotion

Recently i tried again and suprisingly its grown on me more than i thought. I dunno what happened but i found myself listening to the album quite a lot. I understand why people typically dont like it but man do i still feel bad for it even if it was their first album and all. Id prolly go as far to say its quite underrated, especially lups of deceit and warmness on the soul

I'm shocked that "Dear God" made it so far up the list. Don't get me wrong, I love the goofy novelty of that song and blast it every time I hear it but the amazing acoustic solo at the end of "Sidewinder" really makes that track stand out. I'd love for them to play it live these days but I doubt that will ever happen.

I think SofST showed their potential, but Waking the Fallen was a far more refined and realized sound of what they were going for.
