I take my car out to Willow Springs International Raceway for this kinda stuff. Racing through public streets, canyons, and mountains is too dangerous. Blind corners because of canyon walls means you might be doing an optimal line and everything great at a high-rate of speed, but you can't see a slow moving car or bike, or debris in the road that you will hit. Enjoy the scenic drives, but don't end yours or someone else's life. Take it to the track for the safety and measurable skill. It may seem expensive, but it's a lot less than a public road accident or death.
The most maladapted drivers come out to drive in Southern California during the holidays. They're everywhere. My wife and I encountered at least a dozen of these while running just one quick errand in the Glendale area yesterday.
@@JoseMiranda-jw3hs I've lived about 3 miles from Glendale for the last 20 years. Yes, it's every day, but the ratio of drivers who either don't know how to drive more than one speed or behave as though they're lost/not from around here, stoned or drunk, or simply in holiday la-la land vs. decent drivers is extra special. Yesterday afternoon, local traffic was light. Despite the lower number of drivers out, we almost constantly saw or had to deal with driving doing odd or stupid things.
"canyon runs" are a thing, how are officers not already trying to by applying speed traps? street racing is stupid , when you put yourself and others at risk.
You make a dumb decision to street race on a mountain Road and you pay the consequences. With your car and also your body. I really hope they regret making that decision this morning. I wish them a speedy recovery, but these drivers who decided to race are gonna have to live with the fact that they made a poor decision. that could very easily costed them their lives and this whole thing could’ve been prevented.
Used to ride my RD350 up Big T, right on Angeles Forest, then right at Clear Creek and down the hill to La Canada in the 70s and early 80s. Very few CHP, idiots, except me maybe, and clear sailing. Gets sketchy up above the dam.
I went that way to work when the 14 fwy collapsed during the 1994 earthquake. That was an alternate route and people drove it with care, respect and without stupidity
Plenty of videos out there of them doing it and boasting about it. You can't do +30 mph+ over the speed limit repeatedly without eventual consequences.
Grew up in the south bay for 33 years and half of those spent on motorcycles. Ive never been on this highway and i never will because its fool of idiots that dont obey laws and put innocent lives at risk. Malibu is the same way but I get in early and leave early while the idiots are still hungover and sleeping.
When people buy sports cars and ego race them on the streets is pathetic . If you have enough for a car like that take the extra few hundred and take to track .
Some idiot was going for the pass on a double yellow.
Just because you bought something doesn't mean you can handle it.
2 Porsches racing!!! There should be felony charges brought against both drivers!
Why? Because they're Porsches, and not generally owned by Edgar's?
1 Porsche, 1 Maserati, the Maserati crashed.
Only 1 lane each direction and idiots always speeding trying to pass eachother

Isn't Willow being sold?
So lemme guess…. The Beemer guy thought he could over take the 911 GT3 RS? SMH

Same here in Long beach and Lakewood area
Probably track suit wearers.
I deliver for Amazon out here in Glendale/burbank. I see it every single day…

North Hollywood, Glendale, Burbank, Van Nuys, absolute worst drivers anywhere.
In this case revoke their license for life
No concern whatsoever for public safety.

Don't have the resources
They won't make money having an officer up there . They rather Harras people for small traffic violations
A story as old as time... people are stupid.
Racing on public roadways at all should have severe penalties but racing on a two lane highway should put both drivers behind bars for years.

A _speedy_ recovery? 😆lol
You can buy an expensive sport car but you don’t have the common sense in driving. Thank God no innocent driver was hurt due to the irresponsible act.
Where is the Forest?
Edgar hair cut got a trim today
There are at least 2 - 3 crashes per day on Angeles Forest Hwy and nothing has been done to solve the problem.
CHP is useless.
Yeah people need to drive carefully there. I get its fun but stay in the lanes and know your limits!!!
It's because you can't fix stupid
Speeding for sure has to be

So glad I didnt use this route to get up to Mojave. Crazy people…
speed racers at it again, they always meet there every weekend with motorcycles and other porsche drivers. called it that this was going to happen

Oh my gosh 🙏 for healing Godspeed.
Breaking News: Mommy is already on the phone to the lawyer and will have you released in time for dinner to make your tummy feel better.
Someone thought they were a racer until they weren’t.
Once I pulled over for a delivery truck driver who was tailgating me on that road.
Too fast too furious
People love to speed on that road.
Crashfornia
I wonder is speed was a factor
If I had to guess the driver’s last words were probably “Ey foo”
Nothing new. Look up previous months and years in this area.
if you're gonna race your car, find a public road miles from the nearest human (there are lots) and don't do it with passengers
There goes someone’s Christmas present 😢
Omg… smh
many times i saw dumb drivers passing double yellow line in wrong way in that area
That lawsuit going to hit
A firey sports car, huh? Your writers were obviously not hired based on merit.
What’s up hopsing 🤣
Seriously. It's rather embarrassing at this juncture.
Those headlines at the bottom are wild. City of Angeles haha

Air ambulance can be 200k . It sounds like these people can pay their own medical bills.
200k seems a little outrageous and made up tbh. Not saying that you are lying.. I am saying their made up prices are.
@treehugger1640 air Trek got sued for the 200k bill .
Sounds like they're going to have to put some speed bumps on those roads now just too much racing is going on.
Out da way fool.
Oz be DEMANZIN ma RESPECT ✊🏿
Odd ? Humans again ??
