I fell completely head over heals in love with this band after I saw this interview. I actually loved them before but this got me to love them as individuals. Thank you for reacting to this video!

Thay are just all awesome.
This is what I love about both BAND-MAID and SCANDAL...aside from their high-profile in the J-Rock music scene, they are pretty much the "girls next door." The key to most successful girl bands in Japan is that the members are usually all good friends.
This should be mandatory viewing for anyone interested in Band-Maid and l thank you for posting it. First point: to anyone who thinks these ladies are into some kind of gimmicks or act concerning their often over the top personalities. This pretty well shows how completely genuine they are. Second point: When Akane explains how she is leader of the group that is a poor choice in translation. Manager is the correct term and that is born out by the other four saying she is the one with the organizational skills. She talks nice to everyone and she knows where they have to be and at what time. The band's founder, motivator and visionary is without doubt Kobato Miku. Last point before l bore everyone to death. The most revealing comment in this entire interview was when Saiki says about Miku "her motivation is not normal". These ladies being together in common purpose is a joy to behold. Thanks Mr. B. Sacramento loves an underdog. Regards.

You're never boring, Robert. I think these subtle insights into the Maids characters reflect why they gel so well together. Kanami's open admiration, love & respect for saiki is further proof why they couldn't exist as BAND-MAID without each other. Mincho also comes across as mother, child & fan of everyone in this vid. I love them all & England loves Sacramento :)

@Robert With Miku being so driven, yet absurdly clumsy (noted for her stage falls) and Mincho being so studious and just plain spacey...it is amazing that they have become such a killer songwriting team. But, I am starting to wonder about Mincho's Yuri obsession with Saiki. LOL

@@OldMrB Her parents insisted on her finishing university as a requisite for going into music full time. Kanami has been playing piano since she was 3, but guitar is a relatively new addition for her...she has only been playing for around 9 years.
@@OldMrB Well read and with a degree and she needs a little help tying her hat to her head. They say Einstein often forgot to put on his socks before he left the house. Perhaps when so much of your mind is completely used for music and creativity there is not a lot left over for the basic things in life. 😂

Except one detail: Misa's "croatian" dress is a mistranslation - I think in japanese, "croatian" and "assassin" are very close, so the original meaning is an "assassin" dress

If there is a "□" icon in "Subtitles" to the left of the setting icon "Gears" at the bottom of the screen, you can translate the spoken language of "Japanese" into each language, although it is not perfect. Here's how to display subtitles.
This is how to put out subtitles when there are subtitles in the video sent in Japan. Let me explain.
① Click the gear icon "設定Settings" at the bottom of the screen. ② Click "字幕Subtitles ". ..
③ Click "日本語(自動)生成Japanese (automatically generated)".
④ Click "字幕日本語(自動生成)Subtitles " Japanese (automatically generated)"
⑤ Click "自動翻訳Automatic translation" to display each language to be converted.
⑥ Scroll down and select the 6th "英語English" counting from the bottom.
Click on it and English subtitles will appear on the screen.
There are some interesting interview videos in Japan, so please try them.

Thank you for your reply. There was a scene where a beer bottle was thrown by a country music fan playing in a wire mesh in the movie "The Blues Brothers". To be honest, I didn't expect Miku's time to be accepted by overseas fans. I couldn't imagine that the men who experienced both acidity and sweetness were led by Miku and said "Moe Moe". It makes me laugh when I see overseas fans apologizing in Japanese saying "I'm sorry". She controls them is a big deal.
"Ningen Isu" is like an archaeological excavation by overseas fans, and I am grateful.

Mistranslation by Dr. Goole. The MC's remark "suka sareru" at 7:05 is not "be loved". Is it the place where the members "ignored" because the conversation between Kobato and other members was inconsistent and troublesome? Of course, everyone is good friends, so there is no malice.

I live in a rural area of Tokyo with a bear and a Japanese serow, so I have never been to Daikanyama. The Kichijoji you introduced is also popular with older people because it has Izakaya [Japanese pub] and a live house.

Thank you for your reply. I forgot that you don't drink. Even for those who don't drink alcohol, Kichijoji is a good place to eat because the food is cheap and delicious, and it's unpretentious.
Don't trust these translations. Both part1 and 2, full of mistranslations! For example, at 4:00 Miku said "hitman style" not "Croatian style." There are too many mistakes to point them out all!

I always like your Band-Maid reactions, but Japan isn't the only island with great music. I mean, your own UK has those four lads from Liverpool and, further north, Karen Metheson and Capercaillie. My Dad's home island also has some fairly nice tunes, like this one, the first song I learned in Gaelic. Very rare performance by Enya's elder sister (the one with the talent)...
