I love watching these videos just for the undercarriage part. Some of these exhaust systems are crazy. Keep the videos up. Get some old dodge trucks in.
First impressions; This car is nice! But I am only 2 minutes into the video, so that may change. 😁 Yes! This car is a winner. I'll call you in the morning. 👍
Reminds me of when I was young! My dad had a 79 camero. I remember whippin doughnuts in it one time and smacked my face off the dash I loved it! Much love from minnesota!
My first car was a 81 Camaro white with black and red interior! Great car ! This one has peaked my interest . Nick find me a white one and I’ll be on the next flight down!
I had a blue one of these, same year, I put in a 500 HP back in the 80s, very rare. Had the fastest car on the road at that time. I also drag race won every time a heft motor heft car
Beautiful LT I love this body style! I had a 78 and a 79. They both ran the same engine combination a 454BBC with a 4-speed and 12bolt posi unit wit 3:73 gears
Beautiful Chevy Camaro. Needs the carb adjusted with the hose that goes to the brake booster. Adjust the needles and the idle screw and she'll run right and get the best gas mileage. She's got a lot of potential. 😊
Try using "hot shot fogger" to get rid of bugs. You can park a few cars in one enclosed area in the evening, set a few cans off, go home, and let the fogger do the work. You won't have to wait to "trap" the bugs. I use "hot shot" in my garage once in a while to get rid of spiders.
Hey @maplemotors! Thanks for keeping me in the mix it's the old Lead guitarist Jackson. Loved the music thanks for keeping it up on your TH-cam Channel! Keep rocking! 🎸
Makes me miss my 81 Z in the same color. The only change I'd make, after addressing the miss is put Crager wheels on it. Don't get me wrong, those wheels are nice, but they have been so overused in the muscle car world. But I quess you could say the same thing about the Crager too, lol. Just not as much as these currently. Went to a show once, and 10 cars right next to each other all had that exact same wheel. Just my preference. Aluminum heads are one of the best mods you can make, but then you have to mod everything else, or it doesn't reach its full potential. That things sounds Nasty! I haven't watched in a while. Who thought up the head cam? I love that. Its like being there. Lol
I like where you show the under carriage, I have noticed a lot of GM products with automatic is missing the flywheel/ torque converter cover. Which that is something someone could get if they wanted.
You want comments... You said, "the head liner looks good"! When the head liner looks like chit! Makes me wonder what else you either missed or didn't describe right. ✌️
Lol! Yeah, I suppose he says good to mean that it actually has a headliner. In Nick's defense, MM sells mostly project cars that are ride and drive quality - MM is far more upfront about the condition of their inventory than most classic dealers.
They are all pretty much project cars when they are under $25k . Buying a car that runs good and drives good but needs a little love and money put into it is exactly what I want.
@@skathappenz The key to MM business model is that they sell project cars that can be driven. Any similar non-running project car is usually 50-70% less because it usually has lots of expensive problems.
Ask Jim jr if this car reminds him of the metallic brown one he had that had Tenn stud lettered on the back? Had a hot lil 350 in it.....1984 I believe when he had it.....
too much fuel pressure brother is the popping issue I see no fuel regulator the demon carbs need one cheap and easy fix, Nice 79 Nick I do like them years reminds me of my highschool parking lot long ago and far away lol
Looks clean underneath until I saw the rear axle. There’s crud all built up around the seal. So a rear man seal leak for sure. On this one the interior might be original. If not, just a cheap fix. I saw the other one a 78 and it was listed 19k. I said no. This at 14k getting close to a buy for a project. No rust underneath. No where else so a very solid start to a build. This is the car I loved in hotwheels and Matchbox as a kid in the 80’s. So it’s checking those kid vibes. Looks like they painted this car outside. Some orange peal and imperfections. I saw some rust around the trunk lid. They painted over that. He mentioned the new trunk lid seal. So yea it was leaking all around that and rusted. Not a bad fix though.
PUT A AYM CARBORATOR 750 WILL DO NICELY AN RUN SMOOTHLY..CHEERS FROM THE CANADIAN PIT BULL 🇨🇦 👍..NICE CARS WHAT A JOB GETTING TO DRIVE THESE CLASSICS..AWESOME
This old girl of 45 years sat to long in a gravel drive way, this is way you had ants and moister in the gas tank, for this is way she pops a long. Put some dry gas in her and see what comes a long. For she will be a real winner before to long and see if I am wrong. For I love this old 79 Camaro, for she was made for you and me .For love go's a long way and you will see.
A lot of car for the money!! Maybe just a carb cleaning or adjustment and a alignment and she’s ready to cruise. Not much needed to make this one nice driving Camaro. Love the look of it! Vrrrooom… 🛞
"If you see it, that means i covered it" that was a brilliant line Nick! 😂👍
Love it 👍👍👍
Why do every car not have a bell housing

I do too. I'll set for hours, watching, reading comments. It's just relaxing.
Love the car. My wifes first car was a black 79 Camaro and we owned it for 17 years. Indiana winters started to get to the paint, so we sold it.
She has the perfect stance, sound, and looks, all she needs is carb adjustment, overall she is perfect
Or too big. That's one thing a lot of people do wrong. Over carburet
Probably 90% of the guys watching this that are over 50 had the same Camaro with that B&M shifter or had a friend with this Camaro. Good price too
Me with a 80 Z28. Mostly stock and clean. Engine had some work and trans had a shift kit. Ran good
First impressions; This car is nice! But I am only 2 minutes into the video, so that may change. 😁

I think this one is the deal of the week---that's a mighty nice Camaro for only $14,900

Nice camaro...one thing I think I saw as a heads up...passenger side exhaust looked like it was rubbing the driveshaft..

I love the sound of the exhaust system
If it had T-tops I'd be all over this one! Nice car with tastefull wheels. Gorgeous color.Awesome.

Nice car Nick, plenty of 79 cars out there to choose from. Great driver, TLC and this is a winner.
I like where you show the under carriage, I have noticed a lot of GM products with automatic is missing the flywheel/ torque converter cover. Which that is something someone could get if they wanted.
I see why this one sold quickly. All that car needed was a new carburetor kit or maybe just upgraded to a Holley sniper system.
You want comments... You said, "the head liner looks good"! When the head liner looks like chit! Makes me wonder what else you either missed or didn't describe right. ✌️

@@Thomas63r2 I agree and this car actually looks like a pretty good buy. With a little love and $ it could be a great weekend car under $20k. ✌️

The exhaust could definitely be run better. It's definitely worth the investment
I love 2nd Gen Camaros!
I like it. Had one that looked pretty much the same though it was an 81 and had a dual gate shifter. That looks like a decent car.
Ever been stopped for speeding in these videos lol?
Ask Jim jr if this car reminds him of the metallic brown one he had that had Tenn stud lettered on the back? Had a hot lil 350 in it.....1984 I believe when he had it.....
Can we not say anything about the mileage unless you knew for sure it’s original miles. We can all assume the mileage is off or turned over 😊
I could drive this baby!!!
Greetings from México
SWEET SWEET RIDE..I DIG IT MAN
Thanks 👍
It acts like the idle air control valve is stuck..
It has a 80-81 dash though. 1978-1979 had a rounded dash.

Is this car still available? It says sold on your website. I am interested.
Sounds great.

You're drawing a large female fan base on your videos! Nice, clean vehicle for the price. Carb issue shouldn't be a big issue.
Those females he’s attracting are unfortunately bots 🤖
Thanks 👍
Bots, mostly.
@@jonp4846 Yes, I meant to add a LOL. Forgot.
Bruh where is the bell housing.
Very likely a power valve if that's a holley
Nice ride !
Smooth Real Smooth 😉
Appearance is okay needs some tuning help flywheel cover theif got it always GM cars with no covers seems carb may be too much cfm for motor
There's a small little diaphragm in the carburetor and it's messed up that's why it's popping back through the carburetor
It sounds good
Can you swing by Rod Runs in Pigeon Forge? I be driving a MTN Dew truck. I’d like to take a look at it.
We don’t bring cars there , we usually only bring cars back home
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate gotcha!! I I work for Pepsi and was gonna look at it while I was delivering. LOL
Why the 85 mph speedo in a 1979? That all started in 1980.
🍀 Dig it👀✌️
Is it perfect? No but thats a nice car for the price
I got a 66 Fury I’d like to run that against! Heehee
That car sounds mean; maybe it just needs the timing set or something simple like that.
It is Saturday, September 14, 2024 watching Virginia Maryland. Hey man, do you still have this car? Let me know if you still do Nick
Check out our inventory, it’s updated every Monday At maplemotors.com
Is that 79 faster than the 78?
Iit needs that Red stick from the other Camero😊
lol, are you sure one of your guys is not collecting transmission dust/inspection covers?
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Classic.

Thanks 👍
