Akinola had plenty of memorable tracks. I've had the Spy Master theme stuck in my head for nearly four years. Or that tune when Ruth is walking by the river in Fugitive. Swarm's Theme, the Angel's Flux theme, etc. Gold is excellent but Akinola was severely under-appreciated.
@@Irrev77 agree! All those you mentioned I still listen to. Akinola was not as "iconic" as Muray in some regards but he had a wonderful way of complementing the tone of the show
Just realized that the main meledy here is quite similar to the music cue that plays during 'Tales of the Companions' when the toymaker cuts the rope... 🤔
it’s a motif from the 15th doctors theme - this whole piece is basically a variation of that theme. listen to the concert version of 15s theme and keep an ear out for those descending chromatic notes, just played faster.
Same. It stayed in my head the same way the final track in the last scene of journey's end always has. Very similar musically too though this one is a bit happier and more adventurous
I've been loosely following your channel since series 8 first aired, waiting for A Good Man to release. I love all the work you put in and I'm so happy you're still making content.
Surprised no one's commented it yet, but the motif is from the Death of the Doctor in the Sarah Jane Adventures when Sarah and Jo Grant remember their past with the Doctor towards the end of the episode
@@OswinPond No, if my memory serves me correctly it's during the climax of the second part when Jo and Sarah Jane remember their time with the doctor in the past and stop the bird creature's plan to form a TARDIS key. It's a more triumphant version of this music
Honestly, I just do not get why Murray takes *eternities* to release music - even for his own portfolio! Music goes hand in hand with Dr Who. Segun got some of his out within months if not WEEKS of Tx, same with Blair Mowatt with things like Nolly. RTD is missing a trick!!! So good!
It means it hasn't been officially released. Soundtrack album is not out, the only way to listen to it is to do what I do, which is to remove Dialogs and Sound effects to listen to the music, but it's clunky compared to a Released version.
It's nice having actual music you can remember in the show again
Hell ya

@@Irrev77The Cybermen's theme and Thirteen's theme towards the end were quite good especially when it was blaring at her regeneration.
@@Irrev77 I really liked the track from Flux where the Grand Serpent reveals himself.

And a mix of 15's theme, very fitting as its this pair sailing off. The Doctor and Ruby Sunday in the TARDIS
That's sick, either setting up a general motif for the companions or hinting at something horrifying coming! Love it
I noticed this as well! It also appears when the big snowman is about to fall (thanks to the Goblins!)
@nickl2853 Maybe it's a motif for the Toymaker?

This track sounds straight out of Series 10 with Capaldi and Bill and I love it.
we really got the goblin song before a series 10 soundtrack release
@@themightyjagrafess8596I know, it's deeply unfair.
That motif is so perfect. To me it says - Danger, but go ahead, if you're brave enough. You won't regret it.
So true
Yeah, it's a great call to adventure but it feels somewhat nostalgic with the choir... A fantastic Doctor Who track, no doubts.
This is probably the first time someone has said something that cryptic followed by "you won't regret it" and NOT been lying.
Weirdly this has been the track from last night I’ve had stuck in my head all day. I love it.
Same, the climax right at the end when we get the “I’m the doctor” sounds so so good
it's that do do do do doooooo. so good.

@@SNMG7664 yes this !! Really excited for when they release the soundtrack so it can get even more stuck in my head
I loved this special. I’m excited for the future of Doctor Who
The drop when the doctor speaks is 🔥
"Good luck Ruby...." ✨💙
Sounds very series 10
So that's where it went ?
It's Murry Gold after all, his stuff will sound like everything more or less he's done :)
Is that a blessing or a curse...we'll never know :(@@GarethMcD-zq8ei
Love how fantastical this sounds - almost mythical. Brilliant!
I've missed Murray Gold...
I found it! I am so glad you uploaded this. It's been stuck in my head since I watched it.
I literally love this theme and the whole scene of ruby entering the tardis for the first time was just perfect! Thanks for this! 😊😊
I can't stop listening to this track...

Thanks man I appreciate it!
This music is Incredible. Murray Gold is a genius. He's done it again.
Surprised no one's commented it yet, but the motif is from the Death of the Doctor in the Sarah Jane Adventures when Sarah and Jo Grant remember their past with the Doctor towards the end of the episode
When there's in the Tardis and Jo mentions the Timelords?

@@SceneSurgeSnippetsOh yeah I just checked and I see it! Kind of similar.
Is it the Victory Win music?
Glad I'm not the only one with that melody in their head
My favourite from the episode
Thank you!!!!! :)
Amazing
Murray gold, strikes again
Might just be me but this has a bit of a mad man in a box vibes
So freaking cool
Certified hood classic
Fact: For my version, well, on Disney+, he's says "I'm the Doctor" and then it says "knew who, coming to Disney+, may 2024"
like #400!! this was a fantastic piece.
Not for nothing: Millie Gibson sold this scene. Makings of an iconic companion to me
This music gives me Sarah Jane Adventures vibes imo!!
That's because the motif at the start is straight out of an episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures
0:59-1:36
this reminds me of skyward sword's soundtrack, more of which is *always* welcome.
Oh could you please release the one we first hear when baby Ruby is abandoned, kinda christmas church singing ? 🥰
So good!
Not to mention the masses of unreleased tracks which are just total bangers!
Terrible place to park though.
It's The Church on Ruby Road not of, you should edit it.
Thanks, edited!
Could ruby be jenny daughter or ruby might be Susan biological granddaughter?
I like how u say it’s unreleased despite it literally being in this episode already 😂

brainrot comment lmao
@@OswinPondyeah idk why they don’t get it 😭
