Anyone following this guide please know that simply removing the air filter box will make it much easier. Just remove the intake hose, and the box simply lifts right out. The box is not bolted in at all. That gives you more than enough room to remove the passenger side bulb.
Thank you very much. You just saved me from being ripped off by a local shop (300$). I ordered a D3S 35W Philips bulb on ebay for 40$ and screwdriver set from Walmart for 10$. Fixed everything in 20 mins. Thanks again! (I'd have ended up paying 300$ for the repair if I didn't see this video).
hi Auditya, What screwdriver set did you order from walmart ? can you please point me the link, I was under impression that tool kit given by Audi would be good enough to remove these screws and put them back.
Thanks Ryan, really helpful video. Joe Bloggs is correct about the missing spring clip (right light) in your video but I got it figured out pretty quickly. Job done in 15-20 mins. Cheers!
Thanks for this! This is a curiously difficult procedure to find. This also worked for my 2014 S5 B8.5. The only difference is that, on the S5, there is one additional bolt to undo to remove the headlight cluster on the airbox side. It is near the top and has a metal clip attached to it. The bolt will not actually come all the way out -- it must be loosened and the clip pulled off along with the bolt and washer. It will all come out at once and should stay together.
Hi, good vid. Just like to add that on the right hand lamp there is another screw mounted on a slide out Spring clip between the lower 2 screws, it looks like yours is missing. Don't think it's critical but if there is one there it requires unscrewing then the clip prising of or you won't get the lamp out. Cheers.
very help full, could you please confirm which is the reference of the bulb you had used. I found several references, and wouldn´t like to buy the wrong one! thanks!!
I removed my bulb and when i wanted to put a new one it does not turn clockwise at all. just barely. i tried putting on original bulbs back on and they wont get back on either. I have even tried using all the force i can produce with my fingers to force it to place but it wont click on. barely turns at all. Please help.
Dealer wanted $450...come on now. Could have done it for cheaper by not buying the part at the dealership but I was in the area.. $180 out the door and 10 minutes in the parking lot. Easy. Thank you.
that left one is almost impossible to install without touching the glass. I saw that you touched it accidentally at 3:32, afraid I might do that myself. I'll probably take the bumper off completely to do this.
hey, you don't have to take it off. just do the same thing as he did on the right one. He took an easy way on the left one, but it seems quite hard to do that.

This shows why why mechanic work and video production are separate professions.
Great video! My daughter and I did this today on her A4 and it worked perfectly, took only 15 minutes. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the video. The correct way to exchange the right bulb is to remove the airbox, so you don't have to take the headlight out.

Any videos or tips to change the led daytime running lights on 2013 A4?
Do you have the link of the bulbs you bought?

Great video thank you Changed mine today
good man great video thanks for help
When you put the new light bulb back into the slot, it just snap in? Should I suppose to hear a click sound when it does?
Turn it clock wise. It’s more of a feel than a sound. Connection should be facing straight down.
Well done. Very helpful. Thank you

you can always use gloves in case you do touch the glass you will not get the natural skin oils on it.
Do you know if it is the same way to replace bulb on a3 8V?
Hey Ryan thanks for the video !!!!!
Good Video man. Appreciated!

KillerZero259 auto
@@mrryanclewis Oh, but why? I thought the Euros loved driving manual?
@@mrryanclewis By the way, this video was surely helpful. The same steps work on a same-generation S4
