- When I don't have time to take my jewelry to get it professionally cleaned I make a quick mixture with products I already have at home. Check out this video to learn what I use and how I clean my jewelry.

Recipe:
1 tsp baking soda
1tsp salt
1 tsp dawn dish soap
1/2 cup hot water
Add in jewelry & let soak for 15 minutes.
Scrub gently with soft brush.
Rinse off mix. Dry jewelry.
Done!

I found this video a couple of years ago and I LOVE this recipe. When I clean my rings I go around and also clean my parents jewelry lol. Love it!

Just found this video in January 2021 after being a messy crafter and getting spray paint overspray all over my wedding rings. My rings are super detailed with lots of nooks and crannies and I wish I had taken before/after pics because I just followed this recipe and my rings look better than they EVER have from the jeweler cleaning them!! Try this!! It’s amazing!

Love what you're doing. In fact, I appreciate the recipe. I hadn not thought of using a plastic bag. Listen, an early commenter is spot on: Jewellery should not be cleaned/shaken together. It can become damaged. Just one at a time. Soaking together is fine, but you just tossed them in th bag...not safe.
On another note: My jeweller recommended Never get cleanings professionally if they use high-speed agitators, as stones can become loosened easier, and then they want to charge you money to tighten them. Always do it yourself. Always!

My Nanny taught me this she came from Caba Rojos Puerto Rico. We loved making Jewelry together my great grandmather was my mither figure for my childhood years. This method she showed me is the best working. It keeps stones tight and secure It doesnt burn the the stones or jewelry and no jewelry cleaner will ever work as good this is the real deal and very safe. It lasts a long time too...

Tried this and it worked! Except after 15 minutes I let it soak in soapy water so the sent would go away and after about to minutes I let it soak in cold water for a couple minutes. ( before I added my own twist it was very sticky!) so I took a paper towel dried the jewelry and soaked it and rubbed it in rubbing alcohol . My jewelry was no longer sticky and it did not affect or break any of the jewelry my jewelry was now brand new. I advise doing what I did it works a lot better I did a comparison.

Colgate toothpaste and a toothbrush works real well too! I have a 2.3/4 ct light yellow diamond and it sparkles like the North Star after I use this method of cleaning. 💍💍💍💍

Well make sure you dont use boiling water when you do this. It might just damage the diamonds.
1/2 cup hot water with 1 t. baking soda salt dawn. Soak 10 min.

It’s a custom chain, silver w diamonds all in the front, my jeweler is closed so I can’t take it to get cleaned
