if no depreciation is to be included for year of disposal, shouldn't the calculation be to divide by 3 years instead of 4 years, after subtracting the residual value? e.g. 2000 - 500 = 1500 (so we've put the 500 to one side); then 1500/3, to bring the value to zero (again, we've kept the 500 to one side)
