Milk or cream is my very favorite of all time… I know psychologically why we like this! Because milk and cream equates to smooth and smooth is connected to things going " smooth" … It's comforting and relaxing… Maybe even more feminine?
No one else does this type of fragrance review. I have smelled a mild milky-almond, sweet, comforting but muted fragrance without having too much flowery potency. Embarrassing as it sounds, a baby's smell when it spills milk while drinking smells oddly nice. This is an underrated note. I am actually searching for the perfect comforting, milky fragrance without that cheap smell. Among these fragrances, what would you best suggest? I want to smell like i bathed in pure powdered milk.

Hilde Soliani Bianocolatte and Bulgari Calaluna go on the must sniff out list! After looking up Hilde Soliani I want to sample everything from that house! haha! This was so enjoyable to watch, you were so excited to share these gems with us! 😚 I love gourmands and enjoy creamy lactonic notes. My most recent gourmands that I'm falling in love with are Serge Lutens Rahat Loukoum and Xerjoff Lira. You should continue doing these note/accord centered videos...very interesting!

Aside from pure cola and fresh orange juice the other single note gourmand I'm hunting for is 'hot milk'. They're either impossible to make or they're relatively easy to make but there's absolutely no demand. I'm stunned, genuinely, to think I'd be the only human who'd love to smell of ultra realistic versions of those three fragrances (separately, not together, ouch! 🤢) Funnily enough, Isabey's 'Tendre Nuit' on the final dry down smells like spiced hot milk on me. Jovoy's 'Marron' candle smells like spiced hot milk on the stove too. But I've still not hit the jackpot. I got such a kick out of this video-- thank you! The hunt continues.
You've GOT to try Maison Lancôme "Lavandes Trianon" Its like a delicious vanilla sugar cookie just soaked in milk and more sugar and lavender. I find it very cosy comforting in Winter and it smells amazing ! The projection is beast mode !
Love this list! I have tried or own all but the Chabaud's and Calaluna (which I immediately put on my list!). I like the milky/creamy quality in fragrances as well but not as keen on some of the literal milks which come off unpleasant on me like baby urp (sorry!!), these especially for some reason - DSH Au Lait, Ava Luxe Milk, Jo Malone Sweet Milk or CSP Matin Calin. I love the others on your list and last year I had to get an fb of Lann Ael - gorgeous! Other milky/creamy fragrances I love are: Malizia Bon Bon Milkshake, Hermes Santal Massoia, Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau, Penhaligon's Amaranthine (which is marginally gourmand, but so deliciously creamy!), Philosophy Fresh Cream, Imaginary Authors Yesterday Haze, HS Crema di Latte, so many others...... love them :)
Every time I watch your videos my wallet begs me to practice restraint. I've only tried the Hilde Soliani so I guess a sample order needs to happen. Just love your enthusiasm and the fun, smart way you talk about fragrance. Your channel is a gem! =)

I'm from Australia and I wish we carried the Zeromolecole brand. If you really want a realistic "milk" fragrance try Zeromolecole Lalao. Their other products are also gourmand so they are all awesome. They have a website too though it has to be translated into Italian.

Hi A - I also like Bacio by Hide Soliani, it's orange sherbet and vanilla milk (as opposed to creamsicle). I have tried the Chabauds and bought Lait de Biscuit and Lait de Vanille. Ava Luxe Madeline also has a nice milk vibe. Great video! You've given me great recs to look into.😀

I've let go of my bottles unfortunately. They're REALLY nice but very light on the skin. It bothered me a bit after awhile but now, I don't mind skin scents as much, and am regretting letting them go :(
Milk or creamy is my favorite! There is just something about a smooth creamy fragrance that makes it flawless or the holy grail… I think the more refined they are also the creamier they can appear but this is the effect when fragrances blended so perfectly that you cannot see any division of any note and it runs across your nostrils like silk… I think we like our lives to go that way and I think the scent should match soft and perfect with no edges or bumps you know?
I know I'm about three years in commenting on this video, but I would HIGHLY suggest a fragrance called Quilombo by the house of Fueguia 1833 if you haven't already. It smells like if someone took vanilla/caramel, some sugar, and mixed it into a cup of warm milk.
I have ordered a sample of Quilombo recently and realized that I craved this note (although I dislike drinking milk). It’s delicious, I agree that you would probably like it. Watching all your milk/gourmand fragrances videos now. :-)
I love a sweet milky note too! If your crema di latte is discontinued- I would highly give Madera by Omnia a try! They remind me of each other alot, only Madera is more rich, more buttery (less expensive too). A huge orangesicle scent to me is Dulcis in Fundo by Profumum, but it is super strong lol. I've tried Lann Ael- but it only last less than an hour on my skin o_0. My favorite milky scent is Jour de Fete-smells just like cream of wheat with almond extract (which is how I prepare hot cereal)!

You just need the matcha tea powder and a whisk. There are whisks made for the tea. It's quite easy and can be done by hand :) In Japan they don't add sugar, but eat some jelly-like sweets with it. Matcha itself is pretty expensive, but not as expensive as buying it at Starbucks hehe :)
It just looks so darn intimidating, as I keep on imagining the tea ceremony in the Karate Kid Part 2 LOL. Eventually I'll make my own. It's on my list of things to do this year. :D

I have Lalao and I like it better than Bianco Latte simply because it has a more comforting, milky fragrance than Bianco Latte which is equally sweet but more on the sugary, caramel side which overwhelms me a bit.

Plus I have two unused bottles of Bath and Body Works Tutti Dolci Creme Brûlée, which must contain a milk note. L'Artisan Parfumeur Saffran Troublant is listed , great scent! Just wore my sample of 21 CoSTUME NATIONAL this week & adore that one! So, yes, nice category! :) Loved This! I LOVE milky scents : D have you tried Philosophy's Fresh Cream? It gets overlooked in my opinion

Hi Candace! Yes I owned Fresh Cream for awhile...it's lovely! To be honest, I get most of these samples from swaps from others and asking for them in the department stores.

Gosh I wish I could be of more help but since I've been living in the Netherlands for quite a long time now, I honestly wouldn't have the slightest idea which companies ship to Canada or if it's even available in Canada. I do know Chabaud had a discovery set for a decent price on their website. Perhaps something to check out or maybe you can email them directly. :D

I have a large decant of Mon Parfum Gold and to me it is very toffee like but I do not get a milk note :). Lovely perfume thogh. The house deserves more exposure.
