i've enjoyed and upvoted a number of your videos. They are way better than the usual and are truly top shelf material. For example, for various reasons i wouldn't be able to fly as a pilot in this sim but it would be possible to participate as a gunner or bomb aimer. I've been using a few of your videos to learn how to use the German bomb sights. So many videos of JU88s and HE111s going in low and getting shot to pieces by Soviet AAA because the users don't know how to level bomb from altitude.
thankyou :) yes, you could fly as gunner if someone else pilots, but unfortunately only the pilot can operate the bombsight at the moment I dont think multicrew is planned to be any more detailed than as it is now.
Then a gunner i shall be. I hope to be able to get things together sometime in the next month and get into action. Have to find out about all the specs, patches, servers etc first.

Since you asked about the single player missions recently I have looked into the mission editor, I have found it a little difficult to use but I am attempting to make some bomber missions that play similarly to the old microprose B17 Flying Fortress game but I'm having trouble but if I have any luck I will let you know and try and share the missions

Yes, that is the plan. I am currently figuring the workings of the missions hopefully to create some bomber missions and I am always on the look out for the He111H16 but it seems to rarely appear in the aircraft choices
I re-record the in game Replay both just cockpit and the external views over and over and select the scenes I like then cut it all up in my video edit software, unless you are play on regular there are no external views available on the servers I play

It is called IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad, il2sturmovik.com/ . There are 3 versions of the game, Battle of Stalingrad (BoS) as mentioned, Battle of Moscow (BoM) and Battle of Kuban (BoK). These are all part of the same game and work to together as DLC when you purchasing one version you have the ability to play online with the aircraft that version supplies and all maps. Collectively they are sometimes referred to as BoX. When you play online in the multiplayer servers all maps but not aircraft are open to people who have purchased the game. When playing offline as single player you can only play the map and aircraft of the version you own. The game is mostly played online but single player is about to get some big updates in career mode. The community is friendly and helpful. If you want purchasing advice, get IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad first, the reason is the aircraft available are the most commonly used and therefore you will have the most options until you decide on something BoM or BoK. If you flew that low in the real WW2 eastern front, you'd be a goner very soon. Vulnerable to high altitude enemy fighters and ground AA. Low level attack theories and practice flights developed in the 1970s, to try and get under enemy radar...not 1943.

Yeah thanks for that, but you're missing the simple point, it's for fun and to limit my exposure to the enemy gunners
Wrong. The savest spot against AA is fast at tree top level.
