A long mission from the recent TAW campaign. Russians were active a this time but alas, everything went to plan. We destroyed the factory. Other German team members had also taken some
previous chunks out of the target also.

Second time attemping a level bomb, first time I actually hit anything. :P Slowly but surely rubbing my noobishness out on you.
lol, yeah you did far better than I when I started lvl bombing.
visual is used when you see a friendly, tally used for enemies (tally bandit).
The bombs carried externally here on these he 111s would've been 2000lbs each. Usually bombs were stored vertically inside a heinkel bomb bay then released when over the target. The he 111 with the white band on fuselage and wings indicates Mediterranean theatre service, the yellow band is eastern front in russia
These are 1000 Kg (2200lb) bombs. The biggest bombs that could fit vertically in the internal bomb bays were 250 kg (550lb), four in each bomb bay. The He 111 H-6 in Battle of Stalingrad has one bomb bay replaced by an extra fuel tank. The He 111 H-16 in Battle of Kuban has both bomb bays available. Eight 250 Kg bombs internally stored is a really good loadout.
He 111s were used with great success on eastern front in Russia during ww2 when Russian fighter opposition wasn't problem. Some carried large bombs externally below the bomb bay which were devastating against ground targets. He 111s were obsolete at this point and vulnerable to allied fighters but still soldiered on until end of ww2 enjoying success where fighter opposition was light

I finally bought a used gaming powerhouse of a computer that should be able to play this game in 1080p. It's been sitting in the closet since February. All I need now is a 32 inch curved monitor & I'll be set. Should have that come the end of fall, when the weather starts getting cold around here. In the mean time, videos like this are almost as good as playing the game for real.

I selected the last aircraft in formation that you can’t see, zoomed out and turned the camera to get that view, the aircraft stay in picture so we’ll because my friend flying the last aircraft was in, and stay in formation . Hope that helps.
Or do you mean what are the key binds, they’re all in the key binding menu under camera

Which time zone are you in, we have a discord called IL2 Australia any body is welcome to join us we are GMT+10. As for a beginners tutorial all you need to do is visit taw.stg2.de read the manual plan each flight. Practice navigation check out Darbzy’s channel for that also Sheriff’s channel. And you are best to use the TAW teamspeak or discord. But what is there a specific area you are referring too?

CheckSix and the specific is about joining squadrons and finding out what missions to do and how to get to them.
I really, really, REALLY want them to add B-17s for stuff like this. An entire formation of them, all controlled by people, getting attacked by more people, possibly each gunner position taken by people... That'd be amazing to see. (And I would probably, for the first time seeing one, just ask them to not shoot/turn off the AI gunners so I can fly with them and watch. Because it's cool.)

Unfortunately the dev's have said the current engine cannot support the USAAF/RAF Heavies.
Jonathan Lotton I know, but they can’t avoid it completely. At some stage whether its 5years from now or longer. But for a long time the best we can expect is static objects on the new map
Yeah, hopefully they'll make good on their plans to make the B-25 playable. At least some kind of bomber will come around beyond the A-20 and HE111/JU88
