    Does the sign off need to be with both words capitalized e.g. Best Regards, or Best regards? And does the same apply for U.S.A. English?

    Hello Derek
    Thank you so much for this great video. I have a question for you.
    For formal email instead of using Dear can I use Mr, Mrs, or miss along with their last name?
    Again I really appreciate what you do.

    • @derekcallan-englishforpros
      @derekcallan-englishforpros  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Catrachita! I would recommend using Dear together with Mr/Mrs/Ms and the last name for formal emails. For example, Dear Mr. Callan, …
      If you leave out Dear, it might be viewed as being very direct.
      Hope that answers your question.
      Enjoy the rest of your weekend 👍

    Thank you, Derek,
    why you didn't reply to my email 😠

      Hi Maher! I get a lot of comments here on YT and more and more emails from my TH-cam community into my inbox. I do my best to reply to as many as possible, but I do miss some here and there - TH-cam is only one part of my work!
      Having said all that, I’m pretty sure I did reply to an email from someone called Maher recently. Was your question about using Dear all when writing to a group? Maybe you should check your spam/junk folders…
