    The punch Jim received from Taker during Survivor Series 1994 was a classic! His facial expression selling it was perfect!

    "the Undertomer Tombstake" 🤣 I remember Paul Bearer botch a live promo about the casket match and said "the Undercasket's Taker..... um... UNDERTAKERS CASKET!"

      Paul Bearer was truly the last of the “manager era” in the WWE. He lasted till 2000, I think

    Undertaker or Kane would be the only one I trusted to tombstone me. As we know some people had no business doing that move.

    Jim is the greatest manager of all time. When he isnt going wild about that hack Russo, Jim's podcast is the most entertaining and can be informative as the inner workings of the business there are. Definetly a fan of Corny. Have been for over 30 years. Still entertaining

      Jim is a solid number 2. The GOAT is Bobby Heenan. Cornette would tell you this himself.

    Try to tell me the zombie apocalypse isn't possible. Why else would you need escape proof body bags.
    Admittedly been a taker mark for a long time. But I'm glad to hear Jim call it an honor. Because there is probably a pretty good sized group. That would be their career highlight.
    What did you do?
    "well not much. won first season of tuff enough."
    oh. that's cool.
    "I also got tombstoned about a dozen times for accidentally eliminating the undertaker in the Rumble."
    FU&$#NG A! Do you do the conventions?

    What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall with Cornette in the body bag swearing up a storm because they won't let him out.

    Undertaker was one of those rare cartoony gimmicks straight out of the 1980s that actually stood the test of time. Changing up the character and making it (slightly) less cartoony certainly helped. Of those kinds of stupid characters aimed at toddlers, Mark Calloway did a remarkable job making it at least slightly cool and believable to someone over the age of 5, at least after 1996. I think they could have done a lot with the American Bad Ass character, since it was (loosely) based on Mark Calloway in real life and not something straight out of Walt Disney.

    • @Thor-Orion
      @Thor-Orion ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because it’s not fundamentally cartoony. As an idea it could go the campy cartoon route but could also go the dark horror route as well. So the versatility of the gimmick along with the talent of the person portraying it all contributed to making it a timeless gimmick that could be reinvented as many times as needed to keep him fresh. Mark Calloway could do so very much and finally got exactly the gimmick he needed to showcase those talents.

    Cornette hates gimmicks and things that make a joke of wrestling.. But is tombstoned by a dead man zombie guy and goes into a body bag alive..it would have been funnier in a casket....fuck we can't open th casket and left him there to the end of the show and have everyone laugh at him as he's released
