This was their very first song but it was also pre-debut. They had to prove themselves worthy of debuting so these 16 to 20yo boys wrote, composed, arranged, produced and had a hand in choreography. They showed star quality from day 1. They also had to do other songs but this is the main one. Since you have done pre-debut title track, move onto their debut title track, DISTRICT 9
The angelic voice you liked was Woojin, who left the group in October 2019. Most Stay chose to not mention Woojin, but it was a terrible loss when he left.
Bang Chan (the leader) left Australia at the extremely young age of 13 to become a trainee at JYP. He left family and friends behind. He was a trainee for 7 years and watched friends debut while feeling left behind. A lot of his struggles reflect in their work.
Hellevator is a very deep meaningful song for them, it was how they broke out into the world and introduced themselves as Stray Kids. This was their make it or break it in a sense. This song conveys the stigma and negativity they had to endure, after being told again and again that they would fail. Till this day this song holds a very special place in their hearts and us STAYS. Its their ascension from being "stray kids" to eventually finding themselves and their place in the world and breaking stereotypes often found in Kpop.
They wrote this **pre-debut** song about all of the worries and anxieties they felt as trainees and how they wondered if they were good enough to make it through all of the ups and downs of striving to become idols (the ups and downs meaning the Hellevator). It's also about how determined they were to ride that Hellevator wherever it took them, and how hard they were going to work to achieve their dreams no matter what. While they were trainees, they actually busked this song on the streets of Seoul to get crowd feedback. Also in the crowd were other artists and people from the industry who later gave them their professional feedback. The members took that on board, made some adjustments, and then released the version you see in the video.

This was their pre debut song. JYP gave them a mission to write a song, perform it on the street (buskin) and make an MV as a group and this was the song that they created.
This is why I wanted you to start from their beginning, they have been crazy good from start, and for me it was fun to watch them growing in to what they are now. I also recommend a guide, there is a 2024 one, that is a bit long, but worth it, it will give you a bit more insight in who they are.

@Organicplayz he is talented in his own right. He is not popular within the fandom as his timing sucked. It was right before an album release so the boys had to go back and re-do the whole album without him in it. The official release from the company was for personal reasons. Having listened to him I believe it was a style choice as his music is very unlike SKZ and it seems I am right. He has said things along this line as to why he left. I have no hate for him, if he didn't leave we wouldn't have the SKZ we have today and both SKZ and KIM WOOJIN are doing well in what they are doing. Check him out later down the track, get yourself up and running first.
