    Mike what you didn't discuss was how your tan has changed over the past 10 years. Ideal tanning locations, sun tan oil protocol, and how many sessions of front n back are ideal for maximizing color gains.

    Exercising can be really hard sometimes but It always makes me feel better. Last year I had almost 300 lbs in body weight. One day I just started moving more, then slow running then I started doing weighted exercises and I was eating clean by following meal plan I got from Next Level Diet. At 10:06. Here's the secret to being happy--keep friends around. I feel that in 2014 through 2017 you isolated yourself too much, focusing too much on working out, working with clients and just being a housebound, isolated person. You didn't set up a friend network where you could vent, where you could relax and chill during the weekends or down times. So you looked to food for the comfort friends would've given you. You also tended to make another mistake--you concentrated all your emotional needs in your romantic relationships. That's also unhealthy because romantic relationships tend to break up, and when a break up happens, there goes 90% of your friendships. That's not good. What you learned to do in 2018 was not to put all your emotional eggs in one basket, and you set up a friend network. You socialized a lot more. And that kept you much more psychologically even-keeled, and you were happier as a result.

Mike Thurston here seems to have fallen for this fallacy. Nope. That's one of the surest paths to depression, anxiety and general unhappiness. No human being can be an island unto himself. Keeping a good circle of friends around--especially during the hard times, when shit is falling apart in your life--is a basic building block to happiness.

    The early 30s are the period when you are the strongest. At least that's how I felt. You still have a good ten years ahead of you, but yes, the level of physical energy and, as I call it, "physical enthusiasm" for training, decreases with the approach of the 40's. When the early 40's come, you feel like your batteries are at 50%. You know you should train, you do it as an obligation but there is no more pleasure, and over time you work less and less. When that time comes, don't be tempted to take chemistry. You will be tempted especially if your earnings and status are still directly related to your appearance.

    I've watched a lot of your videos now and have become completely hooked. Thanks, algorithms! This one is definitely my favourite. It's incredibly inspiring.I'm so proud of your progress, especially since it could have easily turned into a cycle of endless partying but look at you now. As someone who constantly jumps from one idea to another, I’m a bit jealous of your ability to stay focused and bounce back.
    So, I'm 4 hrs into my shift, and honestly, I can't stand it! So, I’m going to take your advice and "just f¥cking do it"-get myself out of this 9-5 grind that makes me feel sick at the thought of repeating it day after day.
    Hello nada or hello prada.

    • @ssss-ch3fs
      @ssss-ch3fs หลายเดือนก่อน

      Day 1
      Alrighty. I will make this thread my personal development diary, so if anyone is reading accidentally, remember: I’m just talking to myself here (you’re in my head- boo!).
      It’ll be interesting to see how quickly I quit. Doing this where my newfound motivation began is going to be... well, different. And it’ll make quitting more embarrassing, so maybe that’ll keep me going.
      Plan to Break Out of the 9-5 Grind: Make some serious money. There’s no other way, really. Accept that, and it’s okay.
      I hate money.
      But what's the alternative? Stay poor, stuck, dependent, and miserable?
      Fine, whatever. I need to make more money.
      What I’ve Done So Far Today: (worked for some rich mf whose name I can’t even pronounce. In all fairness, the joke’s on me. He's done well for himself. The only thing stopping me from becoming that rich mf is me.)
      1) Came up with two problems and two potential solutions that could become digital products.
      First: A solution to a problem faced by women. Universal issue. High demand! The market's competitive, so I'll need to figure out how to make my product stand out.
      Second: A solution to a unisex problem. Another universal issue with high demand. Competitive market, but I haven’t seen anyone pitching it quite the way I’m thinking. Need to research more-someone's probably nailed it already, so I can replicate what works and add my own spin.
      2) Cancelled all unnecessary subscriptions. I'll put this money towards marketing when I have a product and a platform to sell it on. Okay, fair enough. Now that I think how much this will cost, being on salary sucks. It will take time. But Christmas is coming... I could use this opportunity big time. ( Look into it.)
      Next Steps:
      1) Get organised, you chaotic creature.
      2) Cut unnecessary screen time to zero. There is literally nothing you haven't seen or heard on media already. You have the time, just use it more productively.
      3) Decide which product to tackle first. The second option might yield results faster, so I'll probably go with that.
      But it's boring as hell to make... Okay, just think about Monday morning at 8:59 a.m... every Monday, forever, until you’re a doughy, sluggish mess. That awful, soul crushing feeling of having to sing in to SOMEONE ELSE'S company. Tik-tok...
      4) Research this product inside out. Skim the texts, don’t get bogged down. Jot down fully formed ideas immediately, or you’ll get lost in your chaotic notes.
      5) Focus solely on the product until there’s a decent version to look at. That’ll keep you motivated. (Don’t, I repeat, do not get involved in anyone else’s problems until you have what you want. Everyone has their own heads and can sort out their shit by themselves.)
      Build a website. Keep it simple - WordPress or Shopify will do since it's just a single product. (DON’T OVERCOMPLICATE IT or else you'll get stuck and then get bored. )
      6) Do a bit of research to decide which platform is best for this product.
      Huh...
      Ding-ding! I think I’ve figured out how to navigate TikTok's seller rules for this one.
      Omg, this is already going sideways. I said do research, not jump to conclusions. You don’t actually know if it’ll work, so don’t get too excited.
      What's holding me back atm:
      Fear. I will never get over this shit.
      Everyone is afraid. You'll be fine, and tbh who cares.
      Baby steps. Do tasks one at a time. Under no circumstances try and do everything at once. You'll burn out like you always do. Do it right, and you'll get there.

    • @ssss-ch3fs
      @ssss-ch3fs หลายเดือนก่อน

      DAY 2
      What have I done today:
      Absolutely nothing regarding the business (lol - business my ass, it's all in my head yet), except went for a few hrs walk to think. Made mental notes on how to approach my ideas. (Put that shit on paper, you'll forget everything by the morning )
      Next steps:
      1) Same as yesterday, plus - find a way to sort out some capital.
      2) I really need to find a way to start my day with a "to do" list in the morning. Get some structure. Maybe I need to try cold showers... I find it so hard to function for the first half of the day. But then how do I force myself to go to work? (There is no room for procrastination. Take this seriously, or don't bother at all.)
      1 day wasted.........

    • @ssss-ch3fs
      @ssss-ch3fs หลายเดือนก่อน

      Day 3
      The cold shower attempt this morning went well.... (bhaaaaahhh, it didn’t go well at all. I only managed to get one foot wet before retreating! Jumping straight into a cold shower right out of bed is the dumbest idea ever. Warm body + freezing water = never again! I ended up just washing my face with cold water instead.)
      Still no progress on my main list, mostly because I need some initial capital to really get things moving. So, I’ve been sending out loads of emails requesting quotes on products I plan to dropship (or something similar) for a bit. I’m not exactly excited about going down this path, but I need to bring in some extra income to avoid relying solely on my salary. Plus, it’s a good way to leverage the Christmas period.
      I’ve also been busy creating logos and artwork for the products, registering domains, and purchasing hosting plans for a few websites. For now, I’m restricted to just three niche websites due to payment processing constraints-I can only use one bank account per website. That’s fine, though; managing three sites should be more than enough, and I will set up additional bank accounts later. I'm feeling like a proper scammer atm. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
      I’ve saved some of the best slogans from ads for similar products and plan to tweak them to better suit my own products. I can’t afford the £3-6k per month for professional-level marketing right now, so I’ll be handling it myself at a mediocre level (pff, ie -basic lvl) . On the bright side, this gives me a chance to learn more about ads in general.
      As for Google Ads, I’m pretty apprehensive, I’ve heard awful stories about costs spiralling into the tens of thousands. I’ll need to thoroughly research this before diving in, but I want to move fast, as the potential for sales via Google Ads is huge, especially during the Christmas season.
      I should also be able to use TikTok Shop with dropshipping since the products are tangible. Note to self: remember to budget for tester items sent to creators.
      Right now, I’m working on setting up Facebook pages and hoping they’ll be approved for ads soon. While Facebook is doing its checks, I will get my websites up and running ( SEO, SEO, SEO - do a bit of reading how to improve it).
      Thankfully, I can copy templates and tweak them to fit my products; otherwise, this would take forever. I opted for WordPress because it’s less restrictive, though the costs do add up with hosting, SSL certs, WooCommerce, and other bits. At least I saved some money on logos using AI.
      Internet in the UK SUUUCKS!
      In all fairness, journaling this venture is weirdly helpful.

    Great to see honesty in video. I appreciate all your challenges and the ups/downs of real life. I will be 60 in a month and have been through lots of changes over a 45-year involvement with weights and fitness. One thing I gave up altogether, and no judgement here, was alcohol. I was never a big drinker, but over a twenty year period I found my interest and desire to drink getting less and less. When I reached having one or two scotch twice a year and found my body rejecting it, I decided I had enough. It has been over 6 years now and I love that I don't need to feel the blahs and low energy state after drinking. Still enjoying the gym though!
