- I was hosting my weekly Coinbox tournament for Smash Ultimate with thousands of dollars on the line, but something terrible happened. This is how my tournament became subject to cheating, smurfing, equipment issues, and more. Serious enough that prize money was taken away.

Catching the British spelling on honour was honestly so big brained. I’m British too and didn’t even notice lol. Correct decision by the TO’s though imo, if you’re entering a tournament without meeting the rules then that should be an immediate DQ.
Canadians spell honour that way as well. Not the most big brained, but it contributes
Well, Honestly I use honour just because I used to live in Canada and what makes it more funny is that Im from the same country as Sonix.

Trust me seeing how many Colors vs Colours debates the Sonic fans got when Sonic Colors came out, I can honestly believe a Sonic fan would be able to tell if someone was British by the way they spell honor.

hbox should actually do an EU coinbox, there are lots of talented players in Europe who don't get to show it due to most major events (online AND offline) being in the US
We need someone big to be arrangin thouse tournaments in EU, but smash sponsors here are so rare... let alone if you're a commentator or organizer.
Hbox is a great man, but still just a man- let’s just be thankful we have these and not be too greedy lest we forget to appreciate all the content creators already do ❤️
I think it'd be better if he could strike some kind of deal to co-stream EU locals. That way we get to see the talent as well as not overshadowing/taking away from their own scene
@@NewCrimson100 I think problem is the eu scene in general is still in the shadows. Save Solary from France, i don't know of major sponsors in EU.
We don't have something like Panda and the Bootcamp, we don't have a figure like Hbox to organize things... we lack key components. Though they're starting to take off with guys at MysticSquad (in my region, at least) but they're still a long ways off.

He knowingly ruined the integrity of the tournament.
So to clarify I'm not defending his actions, he did break the rules and he got punished for it. I'm only speaking on the never meet your heros bit.

Man, I don't follow other games enough but I can see why Starcraft 2 with it's server-based games has such a big advantage. If someone from europe decides to play in an american tournament there are no rules against that but if the players can't agree on which server they play on the tournament rules would say to pick US central. (Usually players would agree to whatever fits both sides better, so a player from California vs a European player would pick the US east server, where both of them have about 100ms latency, occasionally they can't agree though and pick US central).

And after that drama is done, its basically normal after that. Yes, there's Syrup who has wifi issues in that video, but it wasn't as big of a deal as the previous match before in the video. So again, you should be thankful that I put that timestamp in here, instead of crying about how "everyone" knows, when really its only you whos complaining about it.
