If there’s one thing I love about any of the Mamamoo members it’s that you never know what awaits you whenever they release a new song 🔥
Solar is the quintessential chameleon vocalist. This is a completely new genre for her, and she routinely explores new genres. Her mini-album COLOURS is a complete elevation of her exploration, and I really recommend listening to all of the songs to get a sense of how versatile her voice is. Her OST songs and SOLAR GAMSUNG series are also seminal works, in addition to her solo work Spit It Out and FACE
Solar is Mamamoo's leader. Like Mamamoo as a whole, her solo stuff is all over the map and her new EP Colours includes 6 songs in different genres (or musical colors), 5 of which she wrote or co-wrote the lyrics and music. My favorite song on the album is called Blues.
Mamamoo is one of the most important and talented girl groups in kpop history with an extremely extensive and diverse discography. Folks say Mamamoo can sing anything and write a song about anything. They have the most songwriting credits of any girl group, some of which are "Only Mamamoo" crack songs lol. You could spend months exploring the hundreds of songs and hundreds of hours of terrific live performances by the group, the members and subunits without finding the bottom of the Mamamoo rabbit hole and good luck finding a bad song in the bunch.
Their Dingo Killing Voice session provides a good 15 minute sampler of songs from 2014 to 2020 (when the vid was filmed) and if you want to learn about the group and how and why stand out from the crowd check out an excellent guide with the unfortunate clickbait title Why Mamamoo is the Most Underrated Kpop Group.
Solar is one of four superstars from the gg Mamamoo. They are widely recognized as the vocal queens of kpop. One only has to react to their live performance on Dingo KILLING VOICE to appreciate why they where bestowed that title. Looking forward to many more of your reactions to Mamamoo ❤❤🦋❤

If you do check out Mamamoo make sure to find the MV that is on their official youtube channel for English subtitles. The MVs on Stone Music don't have subtitles. The only one that doesn't have English subs on their channel I think is Aze Gag.

Thank you for reacting to Solar and I would definitely love to see your reaction to the whole album COLOURS. Solar debuted with Spit it out followed by Honey and when I tell you she’s expect the unexpected in human form, I’m not lying.
She’s incredibly involved and invested in everything she does. With such an incredible work ethic that she somehow starred in a musical, was an MC, and a judge all while preparing this album.
Solar is awesome. All the ladies of Mamamoo are. They are strong soloists, and a Powerhouse when as a group. Their fans are called Moomoos. And because in Korean Mu is radish, their lightstick is a radish. (One of the Asian ones. Like a Daikon radish.) If you look up the members, they all have solo songs. Just search Solar, Hwasa, Moonbyul, or Wheein. They are well worth looking at.

Solar is not just my bias in mamamoo, she is my favorite singer all around. Like the rest of the group she can sing any genre. It was filmed in mongolia, On Solarsido she plays a piano only version and has her own reaction video to this song, The entire album is awesome. Colors is EDM but she is extremely bold and for vocals, Blues name of the song but it actually is a blues song with unreal vocals.
