VERY CLEVER LYRICS!! They incorporate the love, war, and tears from the past of Briar Valley (or, rather, Land of Briar) and also make nice cameos to Malleanor and Lilia. The silver lyrics, "Heed their wish, we must bring them peace.", "Till they go, we stay" and "Take your sword use it wise" was that the Knight of Dawn?! I thought so since what he did was because it was what others wanted and considered to be the only way of peace, even if he didn't want to and didn't see it that way, as expressed on the first two verses, and because of the ring being the "sword" on the third verse, which he gave to Silver. Sorry if I'm wrong but regardless of if I'm right or not, I still congratulate you on such beautifully done lyrics that managed to subtly reference the Knight of Dawn, even if it was unintentional. The reference fits extremely well with the theme of love and, alongside the reference to Malleanor and Lilia, it adds depth to the song and adds the theme of parenthood and what it makes people do for their children; everything that had to happen to enter a new era. Basically, this is a song telling tales of love, war, peace, tears, blood, the past, parenthood, and sacrifice, lots of things incorporated into only two minutes. I remember the first time I heard the BGM, I also wanted to do something like this and write lyrics for it. My voice is decent at best, and I have no appropriate microphone to record it, but even if I did have a great voice and microphone, I wouldn't have managed to make such MAJESTIC lyrics. I'm so glad it was you who ended up doing it, you truly did it justice.
Wow, thank you so much!! iirc when I wrote these lyrics, neither Malleanor nor the Knight of Dawn had been released, but I did end up thinking the line about the mother shielding the child turn out to fit Malleanor so well hahaha. But nevertheless, when I wrote them, I had Silver in mind for the silver coloured lyrics. So if you look at the lyrics at 0:48, and you put Malleus and Silver in it, Malleus is the one who wants Lilia to stay forever, and Silver is the one who will stay with Lilia until he’s gone. But I also didn’t write anything too specific because it’s a Diasomnia song and not a character song so I’m happy you have another interpretation!! Since the song definitely has the tone of an adult singing to a child, I can totally see the Knight of Dawn teaching Silver to define loyalty for himself and use the power passed down from his heritage wisely. I love everything Diasomnia, thanks for reminding me of how much I cried in their stories and making my day with this wonderful comment!!
