Part time agents often get a bad rap in the world of real estate. In this video I talk about how I worked a 6 figure corporate job while jump starting my real estate career.
I went from part-time to full-time in under two years and no production to the top in production in my office in 3 years.
As a part-time realtor you have to be very strategic with your time because you are often juggling multiple responsibilities, but if done right, you can make the leap.
If you're new to real estate, considering getting into real estate, or are part time in real estate, I hope this video helps you craft your vision of what’s possible.

I've been in Real Estate for 4 years now and i have been a Part Time Real Estate Agent. It's vary had because both careers are demanding yet rewarding. And now i have a TH-cam channel so i added on to the crazy schedule. But i wouldn't have it any other way.
Everyone ain't built like you. Way to stick with it. Keep going my guy.

I’m actually a salesperson and my client IS THE RAILROAD! 😂 I’m in the process of getting my CA real estate license. I’ll do it part time until I can afford to make the move over. So this info is very helpful!
That's funny.which railroad you selling to? I was at UP...well they fired my butt..... it worked out though. keep in touch as you go through the process. Shooting the follow-up video this week
@@WillHiggins LOL, yeah I actually have both CSX & Norfolk Southern. I’m going to try to do both for the first year, and then will decide how to proceed from there. I’ll definitely keep in touch with you as I go through the process. I’m going to check out different brokerages and teams over the next few months and then make a decision at the beginning of 2022.
Myke, how are your studies going along with working a full time job and taking real estate classes? What are some study strategies you’re using to retain the material for the major exam? Are you attending online or in person?
@@figuringthecost1422 things are going well. I’m doing a virtual class, so we meet live twice a week on Zoom. That helps because we get to have discussions and work to truly understand the material.
@@figuringthecost1422 also, I’m on the east coast (moving to LA next summer). So the classes meet 10pm-12am my time. That allows me to get everything I need done during the day and then do my class.
I found you on Chauncey Pham's page. Great advice! I'm currently working as a top producing insurance agent who works from home. I'm joining EXP realty and I'm so excited. I finished school and passed my test all in July. My background check is done and I'm ready to fly.

What I would like to know is more info, tips, feedback on how persons working full time and going to school for real estate in CA to begin this career part time until able to do it full time, study and get through the education piece first. I’m attending online and it’s not easy. I work full time for a federal agency but am on a leave due to surgery less than 2 weeks ago. I will be returning to work in early December.
Most videos I see are about how to start once you obtain the license, lead generation, etc. which is great but that’s not the first step.
Wow. This just received a heart. I wrote this back in Oct 2021. Since then I’ve completed my goal and become a realtor.
