    Seen lots of your videos and believe me I think you take your skill of video taking, editing and choosing the audio very lightly and I think the creators on youtube who seems close to you is Peter McKinnon. But I think you are better and I am not joking. The day when you start to focus more on the video side they will be exceptional right now you seem to just document your rides. You seem a deep person. I like your style of riding alone most of the time because I find myself very similar to you in this regard. Awesome video love from India brother. Sorry for my bad English if you find the sentences confusing.

    You could use a neutral density filter for your drone, it will allow you to keep your aperture open longer and help with the water

    I was at the dealership to Purchase a new 2018 Africa Twin Adventure sport here in AZ, but no one had the DCT model in stock ( I really wanted to try it) and I ended up finding a 2017 KTM 1290 SuSuper Adventure R and was able to get it with 2300 miles (Why the previous owner wouldn't ride it is beyond me) and for the same price out the door TTL with some negotiation of course for the Africa Twin Price.... So Mr. Gloege my question to you is if price wasnt factored in would you take an new Africa Twin Adventure DCT, KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, or a 1200 GS??

    • @WilliamGloege
      @WilliamGloege  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes... and you ask why... because its a Honda. 90,000 km and no breakage that I didnt cause.. Fork Seals only oil changes and wear items (chain,sproket etc)

  • @nomad5176
    @nomad5176 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Regarding Heidenau I had problem with model K60 Scout - front tyre bouncing between 45-60km/h. The rear one had tendence to sneaking when turned left.
    The problem just disappeared when I installed my old tire set again. So I sent it back to my seller. Anyone else had that surprise with that model?

    • @nomad5176
      @nomad5176 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Performance of the tyres was positive indeed, on and off the road. Claim procedure is running so I hopefuly expect to have a new set. Thanks Yogi.

    • @nomad5176
      @nomad5176 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yogi, my last question is how your front tyre behaves between 45-60/h when you drive a non loaded bike. S.Tenere is a quite heavy machine. It can nivelate small tyre imperfection, but I guess from your general experiences all is fine. Thanks for istructions of proper tyre mounting. If I am not in the moddle of nowhere I ask Honda to have it done right way :)

    • @Yogi-boo
      @Yogi-boo 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without the weight and aerodynamic drag of the panniers & dry bag, the bike of course is more nimble. At the 45--60km/h speed that you inquire about, the tires are smooth running, the bike goes where directed without any rebellion of unruly drift or handlebar shake. As far as motorcycle shops go, many years ago (1970's) I purchased a brand new enduro bike. On the way home the front tire was drifting here and there. When I got there, I checked the front wheel only to find the front axel nut & axel very loose and about to come off. Back then, when they shipped that model from the factory, the front wheel was detached from the forks inside the shipping crate. The individual that put this front wheel on didn't do his job and it could have been catastrophic. The point being for me as a matter of policy, since that time, I never let anyone ever work on any of my bikes that I have owned, (I manually change and balance my own tires for example. Its good practice and knowledge, because I know it is done right. Arrogantly so!). It would take some major technical issue that I cannot resolve to allow any shop to do so. The old saying "Trust but Verify", checking the work done closely comes into play here. One's life is sometimes at stake because of others laziness or pure stupidity. You always have to watch your back... Good luck!

    • @nomad5176
      @nomad5176 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point. For safety reason will ask them to check the front axle nut also. Ok Yogi, all is clear. Thanks a lot for sharing your huge experiences. Take care.

    Sounds like he doesn’t want the Africa twin adventure sports because he’s the one that doesn’t fit onto the bike not the other way around. And as you said he’s likely cheap.

    • @theninja001
      @theninja001 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t want one either, as soon as I sat on it, I noticed the tank was HUGE and I didn’t like it at all! And I didn’t want the electronic throttle. I can bring spare fuel! William here has been around the world on a regular AT and only used spare fuel once and it wasn’t even necessary!
