In the USA, people will paint rocks and put where it comes from, then leave them in different places. There are groups and you post a picture of the rock and where it comes from. Other people pick them up and leave them in another place. It’s interesting to see how far the rocks have traveled. A great idea to incorporate a new art form to the rocks. In Pennsylvania, USA, we have a lot of large rocks, a lot of red ones, in the earth. Want to try this on a large red on I have in my front garden with my house numbers on it! Thank you for your ideas and instructions!
I just luv this! It’s been a minute since I’ve painted on rocks, it such a fun thing!! I didn’t ever know there was such a thing as outdoor paint to do it with. I always luv how many colors u choose for all ur art and it never ever turns to mud. U have magic in ur fingertips! 😍😍😍 it is so calming to watch you art. ❤️💋 thank you for sharing ur talent. I luv it.
I went to Arteza using your link and I placed an order for some paints and I tried to use your code but it expired at 2pm (1400). I was able to chat with a customer service representative and she was so kind and extended me the discount with your code. I have been hearing so much about all the arteza paints but especially the metallics so I ordered them and I can't wait until I receive them. I am very excited and thank you for the link and the discount. Cheers!😀
I watched this video on my TV You Tube, and I don’t know how or where to comment on tv. I am a #1 fan of dots! I made & painted ceramics for many years, and dots were my favorite thing! I love this rock so much! I could never criticize how much paint you used because the end result is amazing!
People asking why so much paint...well I think it's like 1/3 of a cup poured off which really isn't that much for this art form...but the paint isn't wasted in the first place, as Saskia layed her colors and composition ...she created layers and depth and this beautiful stone! As she said u can use the extra paint on other stones; personally I pour over parchment paper and squeeze the excess back into a cup creating new beautiful colors. Thank you for this demonstration, Saskia.
@@SaskiaFluidArtForAll I'm painting a few rocks for my Aunt's Garden for her b day. How did these hold up? Anything different you would of done, looking back a year later? Thanks Sas♡
Somehow some of the dots slide off😂 But the stripes are still on and look goog. They are in the sun and they survived freezing winter and lots of rain❤️
Saskia, thank you for showing us the new paint. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts outside. Here in NEW ZEALAND it would probably fade as it’s so hot and the UV is very intense.
Hello! This is a gorgeous technique!! Thank you for sharing! I am going thru your videos. Your work is beautiful! 🥰 How did this paint hold up? I cannot find a follow up?

Where is the picture of the rock in the garden you talked about that you would add? I would love to see the rock outside. Nice video. The dots "pimp" the coloured rock a lot, the Number should be in nice lettering and black (with dots). But a very Nice idea.
I think 🤔 put it a year later in 1 of my videos, sorry I cannot remember witch one. For some reason some of the dots fell off during winter but overall the rock stayed beautiful and has been for years in my garden until I moved this last August 🙂
What kind of paint extender (in USA) do you recommend? I just bought the Arteza Outdoor paint from your Amazon Shop and I'm not sure what kind of extender to buy for this paint.
I moved to another home recently, I left it behind in the garden for the new people who are going to live there. After all those years it was still pretty 🤗
Love you accent Saskia! Funny comment about the Mailman delivering all the packages! I had two on Monday! I have two more coming any day now! lols So many artists..so many possible projects!! I love this Saskia!!
Oh I love these rocks!! I must get some and do some for my daughter to put in her garden.👏🏼👏🏼🥰😍🇬🇧🇬🇧👍

Wow! Such great colours. Great video. I paint jars and boxes and anything in front of me with the leftover paint. I hate to waste.

Acrylic thinner, ask for it at a tool/paint store.

Barbara Harmer you need to use something that is for outdoor use like outdoor varnish. So it can take the weather 🙂
@@SaskiaFluidArtForAll Do I understand this correctly? Mix varnish (oil based) with acrylic paint (water based) ????
Australian Aboriginal Art 😍
Thank you ❤️
Very nice. How to try this.
Thank you!💜
Why did you paint the rock black when now we can’t see the black at all
I needed to seal the rock before pouring, the color doesn’t matter but I had black.
Amazing
Thank you! ❤️
Goede info, die verdunner voor acrylverf. Was net van plan om de veel duurdere floetrol te bestellen😁
Amazing👌👍♥️

It’s an acrylic paint thinner.

Thank you Jo❤️ I did not varnish because I want to see if only the paint can take our weather.
@@SaskiaFluidArtForAll OHh ok!! Great Idea! :D We have humid weather here in FL...and HOT! LOLS
I got the same feeling too much wastage but nice.

Beautiful but too much wasted paint!
Pam Clark you don’t know how much wasted paint there was. Saskia mentioned painting other rocks with the drip off.
I dipped in small rocks afterwards, no paint wasted.
Alguna forma de traducir al español el video ??
Got paint to waste?
The only waste of paint is un-used paint 😉
What kind of pen is that?
It is a posca marker.
Have been trying it but keep going wrong....
So sorry to hear that. What went wrong?
Can you tell me why so much paint ?
I dipped in small rocks afterwards, no paint wasted

So much wasted paint, you should have poured over a canvas to use some of the paint.

You could have painted 10 rocks! All that wasted paint 😢

Zonde van de verf
De gevallen verf heb ik gebruikt om kleinere stenen in te dippen, waarom zonde?
Saskia Smit O gelukkig gooi je het niet weg. Geweldig !
Should of used an Air Gun, Move some colors around. Not my cup of tea, But thanks for showing.
I like it this way🙂 Thank you for watching❤️
