The penguin idea is cute. Instead of real ice you could make some square rocks out of clay. If the clay needs to be baked, bake them then paint them white. After that dries put clear drying glue all around them to make them look more real.

Here in Buckingham, England there is something going round called bucks rocks were you paint rocks then hide them in public places for people to find then rehide them, I think these rocks would be great ideas!😄😆😀

Sophia Peel , we have the same thing going on here in the States! Paint a rock, hide it somewhere, and give clues online about where to find it!

Almost all the US has this painted rock hide and seek. I belong to GH "Rocks" on facebook. Look up your town on fb and they probably have a group too! My grandkids love it!

Also, if you are going to hide them outside you should seal them with a clear coat spray. Some people use mod podge.

Yes, but you can do some of the same designs or elaborated renditions on rocks as well. As an Ojibwe, I do ancient art in rocks but so far , I haven't used stones . These are pretty cool!❤
