I've lived here for 50 years. We used to have 30 bars but now about 7 bars. Also be prepared for sticker shock, with beer price at $9.00 + and cocktails are outrageous. That's CDN currency. Still a fun city...
Solo traveling to toronto in may and this videos gives me very useful and insightful places I would love to visit once I get there! thank you so much for this.
Hey gay expats! Glad you had a chance to enjoy my home country! I hope one day you get to visit Montreal and its wonderful gay village, which is one of my favorites in the world (disclaimer: I was born in Montreal, so I might be teensy-weensy biased ;-)
I went to Toronto in the 90s. I remember The Barn. There were other bars I don't remember anymore. There was one that had strip shows on both floors and cabins at the back of the second floor.
As a gay Toronto resident you guys did a great gay visit to our city! You might want to add Steamworks Bathhouse on Church st. for those boys who like Canadian beef AND the gay owned Vertie Cannabis Shop on Carlton for legal marijuana which you can smoke in the open across the street at beautiful Allen Gardens park. Ask for the hot owner Paul for all your weed needs. Enjoy Gay Toronto!!!

Much less than in major U.S. cities, but yes, post pandemic, there are many unhoused and struggling people in Toronto and in most if not all major North American cities. We did not feel unsafe at any of the places we visited or recommend for gay travelers.

I remember the Montreal village back in the day when it was hopping! It's pretty quiet nowadays as things have changed a lot.

to bad you did not actually investigate all the way cooler spots outside of the village.....
Where should we add for our next visit?
SWAYING IN THE WIND? oh hell nah😭😭😭😭😭
Lol 🤣 it’s not that bad but does seem wild 😜
Canadians are not allowed to have US credit cards 😢
We know the travel hacking game isn’t as good outside the US or at least access to US credit cards 💳 😢
Also Steamworks, the gay sauna/bathhouse.
mrits really expensive to have fun for mr😢😂

They don’t mention, the homeless, used needles everywhere, aggressive beggars, graffiti etc

So, like almost every city in the world. It's a reality of life that everyone must struggle with, not the least of whom are those who have no home.
