Easy and effective new invention 2021 -DIY Simple easy berd Trap from Cardboard

Generally it is a cheap and clever device but it is not clear what keeps the door open before the trap is sprung (I presume by the bird treading on the elastic). The whole video could have been kept much shorter by cutting out the initial extended sequence of the bird walking around looking confused.

What do i do with it after I catch it? If I take it somewhere to release it, it will always find its way home. Trying to get rid if some roosting on the side of my apartment without calling and paying a trapper to do it

Pigeon pie is the best option, so if you don't mind butchering live stock then do that. If not then I can't see much else as you said they can always find their way home.

Thinking about the same. I have pair of pigeons spending some nights on a toilet window on the balcony so balcony is full of shit. From what I've read they return as long as they are alive. I don't want to do it, but it seems like one of us have to leave the balcony and I want to reclaim it. For several years there was not the problem, but these started bringing straws and I guess they want to nest there.
