That pigeon waltz in there to casually lol joke aside this is very nifty. We used to catch to cook back home. Some of my elders were country country. We used a shoe box n a stick. Then started using the wire cage method but this is just way better.

This is brilliant. I am currently homeless, living in a homeless shelter. There is a friend of mine who is worse off than me. He is sleeping in a tent in the woods, my tent actually, because sometimes i prefer to camp than be in this horrible environment. I think this trap could be very helpful for us. I want to catch some pigeons for food, but i do not want to hurt any other animals that i will not eat. This is a very good design because i have no money at the moment and I can get all the materials readily. If i cant get a job soon and an apartment, maybe I will end up living in the camp for a while. This trap will be very helpful. Thank you!

I made exactly the same trap and it didn't work
In your video pigeon is running inside.
My pigeon was cautious
It triggered the door with half his body out and it jumped backwards when it closed.
I need to figure out how to trigger the door when pigeon fully goes inside.
