The shrimp and grits looked so tasty. The gumbo looked good but it needed the shrimp. The Beignets made me want to go back to California just to get them. My mouth is watering so bad right now.

Had beignets for the first time at Port Orleans in WDW and now every time we get them I grab a packet of cream cheese and a packet of jelly, I split the beignet and add the cream cheese and jelly and eat it like a sandwich. It’s wonderful.
This was such a great one! I love to watch you guys eat & enjoy. It all looked so yummy. Yes! it was only a matter of time until baby Gizmo had his child shirt. He is the original baby Yoda after all❤️

Jazz Kitchen is our favorite restaurant at the Disneyland resort. One time we ordered Bananas Foster which was cooked at table side. I have an awesome pic of the flames after they ignited the rum!
So excited you guys are back in Disney Downtown!! My 2011 visit in March with my younger sister was to New Orleans famous beignet place , It sells the famous coffee in tin can , perhaps Du Monde (?).something, you may know this already. We dipped our beignets in powdered sugar and drank hot milk cocoa, perfect, I love Blood Mary drinks in New Orleans, we stayed at Omni Hotel and saw a lot of old houses . Due to this pandemic, I doubt I can ever visit again ------ too much hassles with all the TSA regulations, temperature checks, wearing masks in hot, humid New Orleans weather. WE ATE AT FAMOUS seafood restaurants and big cocktail drinks in French Quarters. LOVE YOU KITRA AND PETER!!!,, You usually reply to all your comments, we love you for doing this for us, this special attention is much appreciated. Do you enjoy cray fish? They are super salty, now that I have a salt allergy, I get bad, painful migraines so I have to skip all salty foods unless I have lots of water to drink, drinking lots of water helps flush out the salt.☺☺☺☺ Du Monde is the name(?).

Compostable straw could be agave (we have those at WDW now in some places) or PLA plastic ( made with corn starch - common for 3d printing). Either way very cool. Those shrimp and grits look fantastic too!
I think you had those straws when you did your solo trip to Epocot, Peter. Also, I wonder if you can get a white paper bag to toss the beignets in the sugar. It's been a long but I've had them there. Excellent. If they bring back the crawfish empenadas, Kitra, try them.

I’m with you Kitra on the Minnie Mouse ears-they hurt my head after awhile. My daughter and I wear the Minnie Mouse baseball caps instead (she wears dark pink and I wear red) and we love them!

They have dipping sauces at jazz kitchen express but I don’t think they do at the regular one. Honestly I can’t imagine a dipping sauce making these any better
When I was there 3 years ago the had 2 vanilla bean dipping sauce and a raspberry puree dipping sauce. It came with mine. I loved them. And yes they are as good as Cafe Du Monde in The French quarter.
I’m not sure if they have them since it’s a limited menu BUT they have mini beignets and they have dipping sauces! I believe a chocolate and a raspberry! I heard they are so good! It’s on my list of things to try on my next trip!
