not a real secret - but in the end it's mostly the good FX and their creative use that bring sound to life. That rhythmic triggering of the wet level (?) is fantastic.
Dear Strymon, if you keep bringing out such irresistible products you should really start including some food stamps or a block of government cheese with each purchase so your customers and their families don't starve to death! With great power comes great responsibility, please, think of the children! ;-)
I think there should be a new Strymon pedal called SNACKS! ;-) I'm not sure what it would actually do . . . . but it would have a little hidden compartment that you could keeps tiny snacks in. lol Oh, I just thought of a major cool Strymon SWAG item . . .metal lunch boxes that look like the BigSky, Timeline and Mobius! The nice kind of metal lunch box where the details are stamped into the surface. Great for those out of town gigs when SNACKS isn't enough. ;-)
At a first glance, seems somewhat similar to Bastl's very recent Thyme unit, despite being a euro a module, with an added looper - anyone know the specs for the looper? Considering the superb quality of everything Strymon, this is going to be quite up there on my want list.
Hi Walter, The looper has a maximum loop length of 15 seconds at max SPEED, or two minutes at minimum SPEED. We also have a demo here > th-cam.com/video/_Ley4dMZfZo/w-d-xo.html I hope this info helps, but if you have any further questions, please let us know :) Thanks!
I feel like I’m in Algebra class again where the whole class is like yeah that makes sense and I’m just left behind not knowing what’s happening hahaha
There is a lot you can do with Magneto, but anytime you have any questions or need some tips, please reach out to us at support@strymon.net and we'd love to help out!
Eurorack has much higher audio and control voltage levels (e.g. up to ten volts) than (for instance) a guitar pedal, so you'd need some kind of interface.
Can you use this with a guitar as well or is this strictly played through the interface? Sorry - probably a naive question in this space - just intrigued.
Sure, Strymon even has a demo using it with guitar! ;-) th-cam.com/video/4pOuuLhmkyE/w-d-xo.html They also have a prototype guitar interface module to boost guitar levels/impedance up to eurorack and back down again, so, in a small 32 hp wide eurorack case you could have a standalone Magneto guitar processor. If they don't actually produce the prototype there are other manufactures that make similar modules.
nice speed/pitch knob demo... Maybe u didn't notice it, but the device has also 'some' other knobs to demo the capability of the unit... OMG why such a bad demo? anyway, I see people amazed for very little (and common) things... This device is nothing special IMMO, nice but nothing to scream of...
Please keep on making modules, Strymon. You all are doing it right.
Everything about this video is perfect. This is my favorite video on the Magneto.
Wow - everyone is going to get this pedal. It's outstanding. Nice work, Strymon!
Ben Meza module* but for sureee! Never thought I'd easily drop $600 on a module.
Thank you, Ben!

Hmm... I don't think you want our Engineers making cheese 😂
hahaha
hhhm, never tried elk sausage but that sounds pretty good! ;-)

This is a VERY nice delay. I hope you guys make a couple of more eurorack format delays, because this delay is amazing.
Thank you! We don't usually discuss what is or isn't in the works, but we definitely have more in the works for Eurorack :)
One button one function (or nearly),I was hopin for it!!! thanks a loooot for this !!!
The sounds are very similar to the variable performance modifier section on my old Korg Karma keyboard.
The Magneto looks great, I am seriously considering putting in a preorder :)
boss module (and nice presentation by the guy from breaking bad)
Does the magneto come w a power supply or does it have to be dropped in a euro rack case? I have a couple dfams and a grandmother.
The Magneto comes as a module only and would need to be dropped in a eurorack case that can provide it the required power.

Ha ha . I couldn’t have said it better.
Is magnet included 😉
gorgeous
It’s so insane that the speed knob knob doesn’t divide/multiply the clk input. This product has a couple massive blind spots.
I’m magnificently Magnetized. Strymon, make a Big Sky but include a looper in it also...PLEASE!
Thank you! Unfortunately we don't discuss what is or isn't in the works, but we do love hearing your feedback. :)
Yes, finally!
will it work in the effect loop ?

it was a joke
sorry missed the humor part. Now I get it ;^)
Absolutely wild
This makes clouds look like a childrens toy thing.

Mr. White?
beside morphagene my fav erorack module on my top ten list. so i have 2 #1 morphagene and magento. i stated going eurorack beacuse of these 2 modules!
Well done Walter White! besides that... the Strymon sounds sublime!!!
Wasn't this the Generalissimo?
yup, they changed its name and added more cv controls.
Yeh, h2ophilter has that right. Generalissimo was a prototype and once we got a lot of great feedback we improved upon it to release Magneto :)
I see Walter White decided to ditch meth for modules.
Better money.
@@ninjakbly I scrolled for both of these comments.
Does anyone else hear king crimson here?
King Crimson meets Kraftwerk
Walter White on modular
Want to hook up a KB and play "WontGetFooledAgain"😎❤🙏
