At 16:30 or right around in there you said it. When I learned he only had the one launcher I bought a second one and took them apart to get two of those since with how his arms were, didnt matter what side they were on they looked exactly the same so I had two launchers and 8 missles. Made it easy to fire one and hunt ugnaughts with it xD
This is one of the first Transformers toys I remember owning. Still have it, missing two missiles and with some paint wear, and some damage on Blackout. Not an amazing toy by modern standards, but far and away better than a lot of his Armada peers.
Hey TJ, I just bought that Demolishor off your eBay page. Can't wait for it to arrive in England so I can put it with my Energon Cyclonus and Tidal Wave figures...
The only reason for that storage spot/ejection port on Demolishor was because all the decepticons had to have some way of storing the minicon when they wernt using them for their action feature just look at taidal wave, optumus, cyclonus and megatron.
Great review!!! I never owned this as I wasn't collecting during the Armada days. But I absolutely love the look of him and his Energon repaint. BTW great I'll form the head Voltron reference weather intentional or not. Keep up the great reviews.
Someone has probably pointed it out, but Demolishor is most likely supposed to be a SPAAG (Self-propelled anti-air gun) like the Russian 2K22 "Tunguska" or the like (German "Gepard" and so on). If you look at a picture of a Tunguska there are several similarities. It has missiles but also autocannons just like Demolishor. Though Demolishor looks like it could be a Cybertronian SPAAG if anything, because it certainly does not resemble any vehicle on earth. The chassis itself does bear some likeness to the T-55 though.
The Random Reviews have been great! While I loathed the A/E/C years (with a few exceptions), your info and commentary on them is interesting. Suggestion: under-appreciated Beast Wars figure?
He's a prototype ADATS (Air-Defence Anti-Tank System), but with the H Tank theme going on in the front, and oversized missiles. Just look up "ADATS" on Google images :3 (Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've lived 12 years of my life not knowing what the heck he is, and I just found out like 2 months ago.)
i had the energon version of this toy, and i always assumed that the embankment mode was more for use on a cliff where he could anchor himselfand get a better angle to fire missles from. i also imagined it as a SPIDER walker. yeah. i was dumb
So... anyone else see this figure and think "That could be a nice Autobot Flame." No? Well when you're looking for potential, obscure repaints but you've only learned of the character via the TF Wiki, you come up with these things. XD
I want to see you review some of the exclusives you got back when you went to Botcon. Also interesting your birthday is 7 days before mine. I'll be sure to get you a gift.
what about third party? like fansproject protector or any of the others (outside of hercules and feral rex) that you own? or at least a video on your opinion on third party toys and their ip infringement?
Far as I'm concerned its the Powerlinx version (the 1st of 3 Hasbro repaints) released in the Unicron Battles, well that's what I have, I only got it last year off TF Source & I love the figure!
I dunno, what's the deal with the word "Dig"? I don't mind it, and from my experience, if you actually try to stop using some word, it'll only stick for longer.
***** Megatron, Starscream, Cyclonus, and Demolishor's vehicle modes were all scanned by the ships computer on their moon base in the second episode. If you look at the animation model from before they got their Earth modes Demolishor is missing his shoulder cannons though there are clearly holes in his shoulders where they should be stored. His treads are missing. And He actually has proper hands. Oddly enough the cartoon actually did animate him with three fingers and two thumbs for most of the series except for that first episode. The cartoon tended to do that for all the characters pre-Earth modes. They all retain the same basic shape but anything which was clearly a part of their vehicle mode was missing from the Animation model. Tires/treads being the most common. Starscream was also missing his wings. The character who was the most changed was Optimus Prime who for some reason looked like RID2001 Optimus Prime before he got an Earth mode... which made me think the series was in the same continuity for the longest time... and also confused me as to why he needed an Earth mode when he already had one.
"Poor literacy is more easily trademarked" Is qoute worthy and t-shirt worthy, especially if you misspell trademarked !
Thank Linkara
he is a self propelled anti air battery. missile based, by the looks of it.
his vehicle mode is a "Mobile Missile Turret"
translated:
tank
I literally have been transforming him wrong since I got him at 5, I never knew you were supposed to turn the legs around.
Honestly I just recently realized that recently. I didn't know I was supposed to either until I looked again at his animation model. lol
Honestly my favorite armada toy. In a line full of compromises for gimmicks, he turned out really well.
At 16:30 or right around in there you said it. I have this toy, and it is one of the few who survived completely intact from my youth! Can't find the minicon or the missiles, but it's a cool toy.
This is one of the first Transformers toys I remember owning. Still have it, missing two missiles and with some paint wear, and some damage on Blackout. Not an amazing toy by modern standards, but far and away better than a lot of his Armada peers.
I still have my Armada Demolisher. He gets the job done.
So do I :)
Demolishor is a mobile weapon platform.
Anyway, I LOVE the toy, and I LOVE the character. Defenitely my favorite Armada character.
+Le Kanraposte More closely modelled after anti-aircrift tanks actually.
Thanks again for selling me this guy, TJ. I have just filmed my own review for him this afternoon. Best of luck for the future.
The instructions actually referred to the right arm as "missile storage" so at least they knew it was weird.
Demolishor's face sculpt is awesome. Transformers are rarely so expressive looking.
Great review! Thanks for covering another Armada figure.
YES!!! ^w^
Oh, and he's an anti-aircraft tank. You decide if he's alien or futuristic.
Hey TJ, I just bought that Demolishor off your eBay page. Can't wait for it to arrive in England so I can put it with my Energon Cyclonus and Tidal Wave figures...
Wait a second...tank mode, deployer gimmick, hyperloyalty personality...This is just Soundwave crossed with Brawl!
In micron legend (aka the Japanese and original version of amada) demolishor is actually called Ironhide for those who don't know
It’s weird… I remember owning this toy. And yet, it came out long after I stopped collecting TF.
Megatron: Demolisher what does your scouter say about his minicon?
Demolisher: It's over 9000!
Megatron: 9000?! That cannot be right, you fool!
Nice LA W
TJ! I have a challenge for you!
The weirdest, most bizarre Japanese Transformer in your collection!
The only reason for that storage spot/ejection port on Demolishor was because all the decepticons had to have some way of storing the minicon when they wernt using them for their action feature just look at taidal wave, optumus, cyclonus and megatron.
1:00 NO. He is an Anti-Air vehicle with TEN MACHINE GUNS slapped onto the GIANT DOUBLE-BARRELED *CANNONS!*
Great review!!! I never owned this as I wasn't collecting during the Armada days. But I absolutely love the look of him and his Energon repaint. BTW great I'll form the head Voltron reference weather intentional or not. Keep up the great reviews.
My first ever Armada figure. I still keep Blackout on my desk to this day.
Someone has probably pointed it out, but Demolishor is most likely supposed to be a SPAAG (Self-propelled anti-air gun) like the Russian 2K22 "Tunguska" or the like (German "Gepard" and so on).

Finally I get to hear your opinion on the first Transformer I ever owned. If you own it could you review Armada Megatron?
Demolishor is a simple program. {if[see-autobot]then[explodecityblock]}. Still, you can’t argue with the decepticon annual performance review.
The Random Reviews have been great!
While I loathed the A/E/C years (with a few exceptions), your info and commentary on them is interesting.
Suggestion: under-appreciated Beast Wars figure?
I'm pretty sure this is some kind of Anti Air craft tank.
I'm near 100% sure i've seen something like this in advance wars
TJ, Use a soft used toothbrush to get rid of the dust in all the nooks and crannies!
Although a bit limited in articulation, overall I really like him. He's on my shelves right next to my PC. *Pulls off shelf and plays with him*
I had this toy as a kid. I always thought he looked like a tank from Metal Slug
Your actually reviewing a toy that I have for once!!! as for the huge hips, I like to think that hes wearing baggy combat pants!!
nice imagination! I thought of that myself! Actually a cool design idea
tfrWLDNAS mcdonalds toy that has good articulation i think o had that one
tfrWLDNAS heavy armour?
That's exactly what Runescape228 said in his review...
I like my repaint ver of him from the Energon line, Green, purple, black and grey. He is a good figure and i like him.
He's a prototype ADATS (Air-Defence Anti-Tank System), but with the H Tank theme going on in the front, and oversized missiles. Just look up "ADATS" on Google images :3
(Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've lived 12 years of my life not knowing what the heck he is, and I just found out like 2 months ago.)
"Tank" you very much for this review...I've really been enjoying these Random Reviews/
kill me my name is zane nieto The question is, Why not?
i had the energon version of this toy, and i always assumed that the embankment mode was more for use on a cliff where he could anchor himselfand get a better angle to fire missles from. i also imagined it as a SPIDER walker. yeah. i was dumb
I wouldn't mind seeing a classic version of this guy. Not that he really needs one.
Fall of Cybertron Optimus remold?
you can make him look like a metal gear take by halfway transforming his legs only, but leaving them slanted a bit
i got a kick out of that ketchup bottle statement, i loved this figure when i was younger always loved the "tank" mode
So... anyone else see this figure and think "That could be a nice Autobot Flame."
No?
Well when you're looking for potential, obscure repaints but you've only learned of the character via the TF Wiki, you come up with these things. XD
Well tanks for the reviews
Demolisher, let's go with that.
he is probably actually a mobile anti aircraft unit rather than a tank. look up the PGZ95 and imagine an over the top version of that with STA missles
Appearently his design is based off of the ADATS weapon system, an unmanned anti-air anti-tank machine
I'm definitely getting this guy.
I want to see you review some of the exclusives you got back when you went to Botcon. Also interesting your birthday is 7 days before mine. I'll be sure to get you a gift.
This guy looks like a soldier robot, btw, i think they were planning a double shoulder missle launcher but they rejected the idea to save money
I always thought of as Demolishor as a AA tank of some kind.
Funny, I have the Energy repaint of this figure and his shoulder can go past the point you showed
I STILL HAVE THIS TOY OH MY GOSH
BEING A KID = GOOD TIMES
I'm pretty sure he's an AA tank, that explains the giant guns
FINALLY!! I found his name! I've always wanted to find out what this guy's name was!
The Takara version has his face brown rather than black, it's way better in the actual show!, he also has a energon and cybertron repaint.
And I was going to ask you to do defense force scattershot
Both Cybertron Scattorshots XD
That would be nice if he has both but I would settle with the one no matter what he decides
do you remember those german army uniforms with puffy pants and thight black boots? and such? well its design reminds me of those
FPrimusUnicron Jodhpurs. And yeah, good catch- that had to have been intentional.
TFWiki says he's extremely loosely based on the ADATS weapon system.
review his repaint next!
I like his face and alt mode because they feel very G2 comic/Derek Yaniger in design.
He is either a Sam launcher or an A A or AAA mobile platform.
well, you can try to review a boat transformer
if there is one out there that you didn't review yet
Slayerthecrow Did he already review Cybertron Thunderblast?
He hasn't reviewed Energon Mirage yet, so he could!
Slayerthecrow well He did do Tidal Wave
Nemesis Prime I don't think Tidal Wave counts as a boat
Swipe TV Well He's part Destroyer, part Aircraft carrier and part something else which are all boats
Tank form Crome hounds?
Substitutes for bulky... try “robust” “sturdy” “durable”?
what about third party? like fansproject protector or any of the others (outside of hercules and feral rex) that you own? or at least a video on your opinion on third party toys and their ip infringement?
I wonder if the Mini-Con still attaches to the launcher area in robot mode. XD
I wonder if t.j has watched linkara.....
Jack Hedrick Yup. Actually if you watch his first Lord Vyse ark of episodes, the damaged Mechakara hand prop was my creation.
All those warheads shoot out lasers in the cartoons
Take a drink every time he says equation
What is the best repaint of Armada "Demolishor"?
Far as I'm concerned its the Powerlinx version (the 1st of 3 Hasbro repaints) released in the Unicron Battles, well that's what I have, I only got it last year off TF Source & I love the figure!
Y'know that one city that always ruins your view? Yeah, you get rid of it with that alt mode.
After seeing this video, I'm not so sure if I should sell mine or not. :-/
can you review armada jetfire
Please review a classics Triple Changer. I would love this to get a classics figure.
Hey TJ can you review Armada Sideways?(no i'm not THAT guy)
I always thought he was a variation of an anti aircraft tank.
Finally I can say it FIRST!!!!!!
good review
TJOmega you should review a good shell former
I dunno, what's the deal with the word "Dig"? I don't mind it, and from my experience, if you actually try to stop using some word, it'll only stick for longer.
How has no one made a Bastion joke yet? What do I keep you people around for?!
Yay!!!!! Demolishor!!!
hey tj maybe you could review something gundam
now that i think about it did he even scan an earth mode he's never shown doing it on the show
***** Megatron, Starscream, Cyclonus, and Demolishor's vehicle modes were all scanned by the ships computer on their moon base in the second episode. If you look at the animation model from before they got their Earth modes Demolishor is missing his shoulder cannons though there are clearly holes in his shoulders where they should be stored. RialVestro i don't remember that at all
*****
Well I do and there's pictures on TFWiki to back it up.
RialVestro wiki's where as relatively accurate aren't always reliable that being said i stand corrected
*****
I agree and I wouldn't have mentioned the wiki if they didn't have screen caps from the episodes.
I bet somone will get you the book
I had that as well and I lost all the missiles
DARKBLADE91696 LR I'm missing two
Same here
he kinda looks more like a mech than a tank to be honest. but It's not a bad form either.
Not the ketchup bottles! Think of all the sad Pikachus!
You remember that episode to
Please do Armada Scavenger.
cubesolver64 that thing is trash. i had it. too gimmicky
I found one at an antique store, but he was missing a missile. I ended up passing on him…
TANK!TANK!TANK!
If these two aren't plastic addict victims. Armada Jetfire and Sideways
tj omega please review robots in disguise (2001) optimus prime
He's more like a missile platform than a tank
Hey can you do Cybertron mertoplex please hey first big transfromer I ever owned
As DOTM showed us, transformers bleed red, therefore demolishor ran over some autobots after shooting them with every single gun he has
Demolisher is now officially one of the Orkiest Transformers ever.
Demolishor is an mobile Anti-Aircraft gun
He's Ultra Magnus's evil twin! (get it, cuz of de shoulders?)
what about animated shockwave
more of a futuristic ADATS then a tank
Ironically, this is indeed a made up tank, though it seems to take a couple cues from an ADATS tank.
thanks for the tanks, lol
I own the Cybertron retool.
