As someone who used to work for Dairy Queen, you get a feel for how solid a cup is and how long you can flip it before you're in danger of spilling the whole thing.

The blizard when it first comes out is still mostly solid, and the blending process causes the ice cream to conform to the shape of the cup which increases the friction. After a few seconds in your warm hand, the outer layer of the ice cream melts decreasing friction dramatically.
If you want thick ice-cream then you should try Turkish Maraş icecream. They used a specific part of a plant that makes the ice-cream thich and literally a little chewy
as a former dq employee we don’t just flip blizzards, it’s a high engineering certification class that takes months to complete. we take precautions to make ice cream look like food that defy the logic of gravity. the customers are unimpressed by the act because they thought we’d have flying cars by now and floating ice cream is way overdone #underrated
If it’s any consolation, my little boy is always super impressed when they flip the blizzard upside down. So much so, that he even tries to do it himself. We end up with ice cream all over the seat. Every. Single. Time. 😂😂
this texture of ice cream looks exactly like Mr Whippy ice cream we have in the UK! very smooth and not freezing cold, and with a flake it’s so simple yet so nostalgic! Mr Whippy ice cream just refers to the ice cream machine they use and not a specific brand, and it’s very commonly served by someone in an ice cream truck or by the beach!
Oh my, that sounds so good. Ice cream is often unnecessarily sweet and that version seems like you could enjoy it without feeling like a glutton. Like whipped cream icing on a cake instead of that buttercream crap. One question, though: what are "flakes" exactly? Like chocolate shavings?
@allthatremain5357 a Flake is a brand of chocolate bar that is sort of a bunch of chocolate flakes molded into a thin bar and it's crumbly! You can also get chocolate flakes too. 😊
@@Phoebe5448huh thank you for that information. I did not realize the flake bit was not just a piece of chocolate but a whole type of candy unto itself. I’d only ever seen people get ice cream with a flake on tv, and nobody ever explained what it was because they assumed everybody knew (or knew how to use google 😅) thanks for explaining
I haven’t had Mr Whippy since childhood and it’s hands down the best ice cream ever especially with that stick of chocolate flake. Nobody can understand when I try to describe how it’s the best. Whyyy can’t we have Mr Whippy in the rest of the world???
Based on the description of texture and temperature, and the fact that the machine is from Italy, I believe it’s simply “Semi-freddo” which is common in Italy. Usually is found in a few different flavors.
Italian gelato only has creams/water + flavour as ingredients that become ice cream by repeatedly mixing them and incorporating cool air in it. American style ice cream has xanthan gum in it, an edible gum found in most creamy/sof serving dairy products (think for example, Philadelphia), by adjusting the amount of xanthan gum you use you can make an ice cream that doesn't melt, it's chewy and not even cold!
@@jacquuelinesimpson191Ok.. I'm reaching into the depths of my very fried brain to bring you this tip that I think I heard somewhere, long ago, and I don't know if it's correct or not, but my instincts tell me it is... Maybe. If you're making ice cream at home, add honey.. You can do honey and sugar, or just add some honey, I think it keeps it from getting all crystally for some reason. I don't know why my brain thinks it remembers this. I hope it's right, though. I'm really second guessing myself, now that I've told you.
They used Newtons Law to create the most complex and interesting, mathematical defying law of physics. 😂. I’m so proud of Japan though and the Japanese economy 😭😭😭. Japanese people are so innovative and amazing at creating things.
It's NOT ice-cream as the machines which create it, doesn't keeo the mallow at freezing temperatures, ever you freeze it and put ice inside the mallow, you'll be left with a glob that will melt into a sticky goo before drying up again and staying that way. It's a European thing, we got mallow cakes too which tastes even better than a mallow cone (real word for it, as it's not ice-cream), speaking of Ice-cream, China was the first nation to invent it as for mallow, was a European nation when trying to recreate the ice-cream during colonial times to end up creating mallow
What makes ice cream IS the ice-cool temperature. Otherwise you'd just be eating cream, and there's a wide variety of that available. You always wanted ice cream that wasn't cold and you always had it available 🤷

As someone who used to work for Dairy Queen, you get a feel for how solid a cup is and how long you can flip it before you're in danger of spilling the whole thing.
Romans 10:9-11 KJV 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. ❤❤❤❤❤

Definitely my favourite of all
as a former dq employee we don’t just flip blizzards, it’s a high engineering certification class that takes months to complete. we take precautions to make ice cream look like food that defy the logic of gravity. the customers are unimpressed by the act because they thought we’d have flying cars by now and floating ice cream is way overdone #underrated
Yes, #underrated
If it’s any consolation, my little boy is always super impressed when they flip the blizzard upside down. So much so, that he even tries to do it himself. We end up with ice cream all over the seat. Every. Single. Time. 😂😂
The lady at my local DQ sometimes turns my ice cream cone upside down, and I'm thinking "lady, you don't have to do that." lol

this texture of ice cream looks exactly like Mr Whippy ice cream we have in the UK!
very smooth and not freezing cold, and with a flake it’s so simple yet so nostalgic!
Mr Whippy ice cream just refers to the ice cream machine they use and not a specific brand, and it’s very commonly served by someone in an ice cream truck or by the beach!
Fellow Brit here! Nice to see another Mr Whippy connoisseur!
Take... off... the burnt part of the marshmallow??? WHY TF WOULD YOU DO THAT YOU HEATHEN. Thats the best part 😭

Based on the description of texture and temperature, and the fact that the machine is from Italy, I believe it’s simply “Semi-freddo” which is common in Italy. Usually is found in a few different flavors.
is it also known as soft ice or am i getting this wrong because it doesn't really look that fancy or weird to me
Yes it’s Soft-Ice 😂
i would like to point out that if you were to translate the italian words semi-freddo you get in english "kind of cold"
Japan never fails to impress me.

Bro got PTSD from a single ice cream 💀
Italian gelato only has creams/water + flavour as ingredients that become ice cream by repeatedly mixing them and incorporating cool air in it.
American style ice cream has xanthan gum in it, an edible gum found in most creamy/sof serving dairy products (think for example, Philadelphia), by adjusting the amount of xanthan gum you use you can make an ice cream that doesn't melt, it's chewy and not even cold!

If you're making ice cream at home, add honey.. You can do honey and sugar, or just add some honey, I think it keeps it from getting all crystally for some reason. I don't know why my brain thinks it remembers this. I hope it's right, though. I'm really second guessing myself, now that I've told you.
