Dean is an awesome man with the utmost integrity. He will always tell you the truth and never embellish anything. If he does not know he will tell you that. Many of the former Elvis inner circle will say things exaggerate about they know not to be true but the storyline sells books. Dean is a good loyal friend to those who know him he hangs his hat on the truth. I had the privilege to watch this interview and then some. As a friend of Dean I recommend the video to anyone interested the least little bit about who Elvis was behind the lights and cameras. As an Elvis fan I recommend the video for all. Great Job Spa Guy!

i met Dean in the late 1970's while he was still working at Graceland. My brother and I used to play football up at Graceland with Dean and some of the guys that worked there. He was always cool to me
ITV made a documentary about Elvis fans from the UK going to Graceland And Dean is in it telling David Frost off by the grave. Its a great programme to watch it was filmed in 1980. Its on utube and its called Elvis he touched there life's. Just thought I'd let you know
I’ve heard Dean speak before on Elvis. Very humble and tells so many funny and awesome stories of Elvis. I once thought Dr. Nick was Elvis’s drug problem. After hearing hours of interviews and using my own thinking you see the many different ways Dr Nick and his family tried to help Elvis. But like Dean pointed out they didn’t have them what we have today. And like so many close to Elvis had said “this is Elvis we’re talking about, if Elvis wanted it he got it”.
I love your stories try to catch all of them not just the Elvis ones but they are defiantly my favorite ones. you make it possible for the poor ppl like me to see things that I will never get to see for myself an u make it seem like we are there on a tour guide with u. An you are a really good musician an are a very good singer. You my friend are a man of many talents. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AN KEEP TAKING US ON THESE JOURNEYS WITH YOU. These videos are just getting better and better my friend! Much respect for Dr.Nick and his family! Some people blame Dr.Nick catered to Elvis' "drug addiction" , actually, just the opposite. Dr.Nick truly looked out for Elvis well being. I had the privilege to chat with Dr.Nick back in the 90's and found him to be very genuine and friendly enough to even be invited to his house. People have misjudged Dr.Nick and others that were around Elvis. I wish people would stop judging people and things they know absolutely nothing about. If people really respect Elvis, maybe these people should trust Elvis' judgement with the people he surrounded himself with. Just my humble opinion. Keep up the great work sir, it is greatly appreciated!
I completely agree. You would think Elvis surrounded himself with a bunch of creeps if you listen to some people.. These were people he personally chose and we should respect all of them just on that point alone.. Dr. Nick has been misjudged as well as many others.. Thanks for that insight... Spa Guy

Spa Guy dear spa guy I have really enjoyed all of your videos on Elvis very insightful and thank you for them..... my wife and I are at a time in our life the kids are grown and out of the house and now we have time for us.... so too the point my wife and I are planning our first trip too Graceland this year. either in August which I'm not too enthused about because I'm not one to celebrate someone's death even if I don't believe that person didn't die on that day. Are in January to celebrate ELVIS birthday which I myself is leaning towards. my question to you is. can you give us some recommendations on where we could go for the best Elvis experience. That story about him wanting to buy a Corvette and the salesman snuffing him is exactly what happened to my Uncle back in the day. He had real long hair and a beard and went in to buy a Corvette and the saleman wouldn't wait on him so he went over to this young guy they had just hired and these guys were working on commission and my uncle had him write up the Vette for him and plunked down the cash right on the table, got the keys walked over to the guy, just like the guy in the video did and told him, maybe now you won't judge a person by the way he looks.
stude1953 I've heard a story like that about George Harrison. He went into a luxury car dealership. He had long hair and beard: he looked scruffy. The salesman asked him how he wanted to pay and he said cash. The salesman told him to get out and not waste his time. Some time later the salesman got a call from his friend who worked at another dealership and said he just sold a car to George Harrison. The friend said that he didn't recognise him at first because he looked scruffy. He then said he paid in cash. The first salesman then realised that the scruffy man at his dealership was George Harrison. I might be getting the story a little muddled. However, I don't think it's true but it's a good story all the same.

Another awesome video, Spa Guy. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nick and Dean at a signing at Elvis Presley Blvd Souvenirs in 2007. They were very cordial with everyone. Thanks for keeping these names alive, as they have so much to tell.

You should interview Kissy (Christine) Nicopoulous.. I worked with her at Graham’s lighting. She was Dr Nicks daughter!! She still lives in Memphis and Dr Nick came to a Christmas luncheon there where I met him!! I actually met Dr Nick years before at baptist hospital!!
I met Dean in 1978 at Graceland. He was nice guy took time and talked with us. God bless you.

Great stuff. I’m a car guy. For clarification, Jensen Interceptors have nothing to do with Austin Healeys as cars other than being British. But there IS a connection personnel-wise in that Healey went on to work for Jensen. The Interceptors were equipped with Chrysler-sourced 440 V8s.

So, you’re my Elvis Spy Guy. Your material is fabulous! I was hoping you would cover the 1936 Tornado that annihilated large portions of Tupelo. It didn’t touch the Presley’s home.

I thought so too.. When it was happening there was so much background noise I was afraid you wouldn't be able to hear him but it turned out way better than I could have imagined.. When I was editing I realized his stories were incredible and was really excited.. Part 2 & 3 are coming up..

Great as always ,my father said he worked for Elvis in or around 69 last name Rosenbaum,I know you know a ton about Elvis have you ever came across the name is all your searches?
Where did he work for him at?
He said as a body gaurd for one year then going off to the service,Memphis moffia was his email ,I really don't believe him but if it was true it would be Great,at 42 I always had a love for Elvis and his persona,my dad is gone now having lived in Memphis almost all his life.
