Another great show guys. Thank you. My top 3 are Tonight You Belong..., Wouldn't You Like..., and a toss between Goodbye and Mike's least liked- Ain't Quite Right. This is my #2 album even though it is fabulous from top to bottom, but I still love the Criss album with the beats, piano, etc.
The Paul Stanley 78 Solo Album is a Masterpiece .....From Start To Finish thanks again Mike & to your Co Host Vince ...... This album I will forever Cherish R.I.P Bob Kulick
Thanks for a great show! Paul Stanley 78 solo album is one of my all time favorite albums. I like all the songs on the album. Top three right now is: 1.Ain't quite right 2.Tonight you belong to me 3.It's alright
Great observation that only Paul’s album has no covers. In some ways I feel it shows how he was musically the strongest of all 4 within KISS. Vincent’s comment about how we connected with the characters/personalities/super heros of the band helped me clarify my understanding of KISS as a fan growing up in the 70s. I rated Ace my #1 back then. I loved the spaceman, futuristic, his laughing and ease of how he moved. (My innocence didn’t initially connect much of that style to his drinking and drug effect) While I loved his leads now looking back 100% Paul was/is the musical driving force of KISS that created the ultimate sound of the band. In that respect, while I honestly enjoy each solo album to some degree, Paul’s is the very best to me.
the "choir background" you referenced on TYBTM is actually Paul playing an ebow on his guitar, and I have to agree that this is one of Paul's best compositions of all time
This used to be a toss up between Paul’s and Ace’s albums for me....I now rank Ace’s number one. There’s just no weak moments for me on Ace’s record. That said, Paul’s is great....rock solid from start to finish, lots of emotion poured into and great performances. Love it
I always liked Paul’s album, I like : Tonight you belong to me, wouldn’t you like to know me, and Take me away (together as one). Honorable mentions: move on, it’s alright, Thanks Mike and Vince for a great video.
I think almost 100% like you about this album! Except the Animalize tunes and Move on. Best: Wouldn’t you like to know me (one of my favorites ever! Amazing to heard it at KK6!) Tonight you belong to me. Take me away. I love Hold me touch me and It’s alright (maybe the most KISS alike song). I think Gene played bass on It’s alright. Ain’t quite right and Love in chains are good, but not as good as the rest of the album. Note: in Argentina, the album “Paul, Peter, Ace & Gene” included wouldn’t you like to know me, it’s alright and hold me touch me. I think a lot of people wanted to hear more songs of Ace and Peter as a novelty.
Love In Chains was my favorite as a kid. I still love it, but my top three are Take Me Away(Together As One), It's Alright and Goodbye. I don't think any songs are weak. I happen to be a big Springsteen fan, but I didn't start getting into him until the 90's. Many years after I loved Kiss. I like a wide range of musical styles.
The Paul solo album is my favorite. Always has been. My top 3 from this album: Take Me Away (Together as One) Love in Chains Move On (or maybe Ain't Quite Right)
Vin plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. I don’t play. But either way, the song doesn’t really move me much. But, fully respect your opinion. Thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciated!
I would decently hush that up, not announce it abroad in broad daylight. Paul's strong points are an egotism and selfishness and a original pride that I assume must even give his spiritual father a good runn for his money. He is full of poison at center, look at what he has done all his life against Vinnie Vincent, like a cesspool jealousy in his heart. He is a base, dunghill villain, and mechanical!!! Vinnie was touched by the finger of God. Therefore remains he, Vinnie, an Enigma. Banjo-playing, yes!!!, the Dr. Love guitarsolo in 500 notes pr. second, on the famous Universal City, Los Angeles, March 27th 1983. And listen to that abhorable abomination Paul "plays" for a "guitarsolo". Paul's "gift" in life was fornication and his life long legacy has been the "breaking assunder what God hath joint together". Vinnie had the fire! He had the flame of God in his spirit. Gene and Paul isn't even worthy to walk my late father's dogs. Sorry, but I love Vinnie and Bruce. And Gene and Paul, having had those two FireWalkers, Vinnie and Bruce, then turning like cannibalistic Wolves and turn in downright hatred towards Vinnie who saved them as well as lit the lifespark in KISS, "but worse was yet behind", because then KISS regrouped to the old school in 1996, and it speaks volumes about Gene & Paul's lack of Light, when they slam the door in Bruce's face, while they actually settle for that Toilet Thommy Theyer. The king of shit. I have heard ONE song these 15 years after KISS ended, and they started a new band in the same outward appearance. That was War Machine in 2018. That Tommy Theyer should have been drawn-and-quartered , or sent to Devil's Island for offending both God and every righteous man by lowering his human worth to the level of the beasts of the field, playing a more offensive, low-quality guitarsolo on War Machine than a Worthhog with an amputated feet, and diarehha going six months straight. Osama Bin Laden can play better guitarsolo on War Machine, in hell, than Toilet Theyer can do with his lifeless void, where "talent" is by natural history placed in us.
Two 10 out of 10 songs, all time classios: Tonight You Belong To Me & WYLTKM and Two semi classics 9/10 with Goodbye and It's allright. Two awesome rockers: Move On 7/10, Love In Chains (8/10) Three cheesy ballads: Hold Me Touch Me (3/10), Ain't Quite Right (4/10), Take Me Away (4/10) . One more rocker or a cool cover is missing, but I love the album too. But Ace did not one weak song, so he is upfront.
1.Take me away 2.It's allright 3.Tonight you belong to me Great songs but the rest of the album is not for me. I love 90% of the Kiss stuff. This album is second to last in my Kiss album ranking. Only the unlistenable Psycho circus is worse. Least favourite songs are Move on, Love in chains, Ain't quite right, Hold me touch me and Goodbye. It was fun to watch the four solo album podcasts. Good job! Thank god Move on is not on Animalize. I like Live to win more.
Wow.....that was tough for me to read....lol. Second to least favorite KISS album? Wow. That pains me....lol. But, hey, all opinions are valid and much respect for you standing by yours! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the episodes!
Paul's solo album is quite possibly THE best KISS album, period. Top to bottom, solid songs, solid writing, great musical performances. Your comment about Rick Springfield (or install other pop artist du jour) there are five big hits off this album. Pat Benatar doing Love In Chains, Heart doing Together As One, etc., etc. great album. Hold Me, Touch Me, meh...and i love love in chains, cmon guys!!:). !!
I totally get people saying HMTM is sappy, but I’m surprised to hear you say TMA is sappy as well. But.....that’s what’s cool. Your opinion is just as valid as ours and there is no right / wrong answer here. Thanks for watching!

That’s what I love. So many great songs on these albums, so many different opinions. All valid. Thanks again for watching!

Great comments! Can’t disagree. Amazing how naïve we were in the 70s. Thanks for watching!!

Love your show Mike! Still hoping you get John Regan too!
Thanks! I’m trying!!
Great album and the first solo album I got when it came out in September 1978! Still a favorite of mine to this day.
Goodbye is my favorite song on this record, the vocal is exceptional. Great discussion.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!!

"It's Alright" is one of my favorite songs of all time. Perfection. As well, Love in Chains, Goodbye, and WYLTKM!!!!!!!!
Let’s Cut The Crap Paul Stanley Bob Kulick Undeniable What A Team .... Such Chemistry Rest In Peace Bob Kulick

Great album first 3 songs are my favorite.
Move on is one of my favorite songs of all time.
A friend of mine bought a guitar from Mikel Japp a few years ago. Pretty sure he was living in Wales (UK) at the time.
The Paul solo album is my favorite. Always has been.
My top 3 from this album: Take Me Away (Together as One)
Love in Chains
Move On (or maybe Ain't Quite Right)
Top 3 1. Tonight You Belong To Me 2. Move On 3. Goodbye
All great songs!
Ha, Ain't Quite Right is the best song on the album... You guys must not play guitar... This is well written, and a true masterpiece...
Vin plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. I don’t play. But either way, the song doesn’t really move me much. But, fully respect your opinion. Thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciated!
Paul also did the first part of the solo on I want you.
Yes, that’s true. And the first part of I Stole Your Love.

@The Man the banjo? lol...Drago is back in russia after Rocky kicked his ass! "where's drago" in the liner notes of the first Kiss record ;-)
My 2nd fav, but very close to 1st of the solo albums. I like Ace's just a bit more. But just barely!
Hold Me Touch Me is my favorite after Goodbye and Move On
Two 10 out of 10 songs, all time classios: Tonight You Belong To Me & WYLTKM and Two semi classics 9/10 with Goodbye and It's allright.
Two awesome rockers: Move On 7/10, Love In Chains (8/10)

That’s fair, although I personally don’t hear Take Me Away as cheesy. But, either way, thanks for watching and sharing your opinion!!
Great post! I believe you'd enjoy my content too. Keep up the fantastic work! 💖🧡
Move On would have worked on Unmasked. But not Animalize. It wasn't heavy enough to fit on Animalize. But Unmasked would have fit.
I’m not sure I hear it fitting on Unmasked. Just my opinion, respect yours! Thanks for watching!!!
1.Take me away
2.It's allright
3.Tonight you belong to me

We disagree alot on this one. I don't mind ballads but Hold me Touch Me and Take Me Away are incredibly sappy. Otherwise a pretty good album.

Good show and a great album. Only weak track is the dreadful Hold Me, Touch Me. Hated it when I got it in ‘78 and hate it to this day.
