Just came across this, remember the series when it first came out, it around 1970, couldn't remember that theme tune, knew it was Thames, was nice to have seen Irene and Wilfred again, Barbara was also no longer with us, all very sad. EDIT. Jack Smethurst recently died.
Wasn't keen on Wilfred Pickles, saw him in a pub once, he was very rude to the bar staff and demanding. I read he and Irene Handle didn't get. Not surprising if he was so rude.
Can anyone help, watched as very young, re parents. I have faint memory, re episode, of an elder character, sat outside, on 'bin day', with rug covering her, she disappeared, causing panic, amongst family, as they thought, elder relative, had been, accidentally, thrown onto back of bin wagon...was this an episode from this show??
