Chris you are very skilled with the manual guide, could you show videos of you doing the programming as well? I always follow your videos and I'm from Brazil, I work with the same command as you on the cnc lathe and I rarely use the guide, I'm still a layman, A hug! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Hi im Jason just a question, do you have alot of experience on forged parts because we recently do alot of stainless steel forged parts and have alot of interupted cuts to do, do you have any tips, like what kind of cutting tools are better for it ?
That surface finish never gets old on these big parts.

I would have torn that part up using a vertical lathe.
The metal removal rates on a vertical lathe are really something to see.
Thanks for sharing, cheers

私も多くの車輪や歯車の加工を行いました。
その多くが製鉄所で使用されています。
いつ見ても確かな精度で加工されていて素晴らしいです。

Just from the heat.

With a ring that big, why still use the smaller chuck?
Probably because he wanted to use the self centering capability of the 3 jaw chuck when clamping on the ID of the part.
