Usher came out the 90s when they had artists development. He’s went through media training. Usher started in 1991. First album didn’t come out until 1994.

I’m so happy Usher got an opportunity to share his mindset in putting together the spectacular Super Bowl celebration. The naysayers need to “chew on it!” I was tired of reading he was trying to be like Michael, Prince, etc. Shame on them for not capturing the realness in what he was presenting. Usher is so articulate, educated and intelligent. It's refreshing to see an artist of his caliber who can actually speak on things that involves black history and culture. The fact that he paid homage to those who came before him through his Super Bowl performance makes him all the more deserving of the title King of R&B. I like when Usher said he proposed last year and didn't want to leave Jen hanging on with just the title of fiance. Jen had given Usher 2 kids and rightfully so deserved the be wife. There is a fundamental difference between a wife, girlfriend, fiance, and baby mama. The ring entitles you to half of all assets unless there is a pre nup in place. But, the average wife or husband is entitled to half of all assets that occurred during the marriage. So, salute to Usher making it official.

Just when I thought you would say something monumental and you make it about money. None of Usher's ex wives have gotten anything spousal related from him. Heck he hasn't even given them faithfulness. Babies and marriage shouldn't be directly proportional. They aren't mutually exclusive but they're not directly proportional.
@nothembajozi2862 I was simply stating facts. When you are a wife or husband, you are entitled to half of all assets that occurred during the marriage. When you are a fiance, baby mama, or girlfriend, you are not entitled to anything except child support, which ends at 18 years old. So, why stay with someone and have their children without thinking about your future. If your going to invest in children why not invest in marriage at the very least when you hit 65 and retirement you are entitled to half of pension, IRA, retirement, and anything else available to you. I'm pretty sure Usher has a pre nup in place as he should, and why did he do that. Usher did so to protect his wealth. Very smart move in my eyes. So, again, why invest in having children and not marriage where at least you have some level of security later in life.

Usher is a true entertainer and deserves all his flowers. It feels so good as a woman entering the age of being “grown grown” to see an artist have the longevity that Usher has had and will continue to have clearly. I was singing songs off of “My Way” in the cafeteria with friends in 5th grade…5th grade! And this man is relevant still. He has been apart of the soundtrack to the life of my peers and I for so many phases of our lives from kids to teenagers to 20 something college student to now 35+ people. Proud to call him an artist of our time 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I’m so happy for Usher, his health,his success, growth and family. Usher’s legacy is multi-generational. My kids appreciate his talent and give me slack for his being mid 40s and in great shape. P.S. and I’m in decent shape. 😂
