@@shelliecurry6052 More power at our 800' msl, no radiator, no reduction drive for prop, less rpm, proven design. Would have probably used the turbo rotax if we lived at a higher altitude.
Thanks Steve. You too! Nothing on time limits at 2700. I did find some literature from Continental on chts. I think I've heard you mention what I'm referring to. I would like to know what they like to see constant cruise rpm to live at.
I cruise in the RV6 with IO 360 at 2400rpm WOT 170kn TAS cross country. Prop won’t allow 2100 to 2300rpm so it’s 2400 all the way. Previous owner told me this is the go as he made 2,000 hours before rebuild with no problems. I’m using 40 liters per hour so 10 US GPH and guesstimating the S21 at high altitude 2400rpm WOT should be around 132kn to 135kn. That’s plenty enough I won’t miss the RV6 and 170kn compared to the versatility of the S21………. If you get the chance could you provide a 8,500 to 9,500ft cruise 2400 RPM WOT TAS (please) We fly the UL520t today. I’ll provide figures as soon as we have something
@@MikeGearonI’ve got everything set to cruise at 125kt TAS 2,500 rpm, lean of peak, 8.5gph at 8-9,000’ CHTs happy around 400°F in summer. 16.5° prop pitch. That’s my baseline that im now gonna mess with. 29” bushwheels, extra cooling, etc.
I said to myself.. where are they .. I see 134.3, then I see Bremond, Calvert and TX6. I will be starting my S-21 in July. I'm at Coulter Field. Currently fly a J3.
I was leaving coulter! lol My dad had his 172 there in the 80's. The old FBO is now just concrete bc it burned down. Lots of memories there. I'm actually about to fly there now. Still have family in CS. I was born there. I just filmed another guy up in Bridgeport that just started. I'd love to answer any questions you have.
I need to watch all of your videos! Do any discuss why you chose the Titan over the Rotax? If not, can you explain? Thank you!

Thanks for posting this. Great numbers! Congrats on the awesome build. Have you found anywhere that time limits you to 2700rpm? I haven’t yet….
