- Here is my very first original song that I wrote!
I was in my early 20s and like most people that age, I partied a lot, drank a lot and of course had heartbreak.
The song is a mix between my own experience and that of a friend, so it's not completely autobiographical ;-).
I remember that I basically wanted to write a song in the style of Willie's "Sad Songs And Waltzes".
This is the result.
I recorded it 4 or 5 years ago in another key that I thought would fit better, but now I am back to the original key of A.
My good friend Stefan aka Schabuwan recorded this song a couple of years ago, so if you want to listen to that version (he made it his own) take a look here:

Many want and try to write about this, love; it is true that when we were young, as seperation was very kind of ' the end of the world. I can feel that there is something personal is this song, an expérience, even if it is not 'completely' autobiographical.

Der allererste selbstgeschriebene Song - und was für einer! Da hört man den damaligen Herzschmerz ja so richtig heraus und - auch wenn Du auch die Erlebnisse eines Freundes mitverarbeitet hast - klingt das wirklich sehr authentisch und man kauft Dir das 100%ig ab. Sehr schöne und sofort in's Ohr gehende Musik - schon damals mit dem üblichen "Willie"-Touch versehen und ein sehr feiner Text, der wirklich perfekt zur Melodie dazu passt. Der 3/4 Takt rundet dieses Frühwerk sehr schön ab und auch ein sehr ausgiebiges Solo hast Du mitverarbeitet (stammt das von damals oder hast Du das später mal dazu gebaut?). Insgesamt wirklich eine sehr gelungene Performance, für die's natürlich wieder einen großen Daumen nach oben aus dem Ösi-Land gibt. Alles Liebe und wie immer ein schönes Wochenende (welches hoffentlich auch für Dich in irgendeiner Form verlängert ist!?) LG Hermann
Hallo Hermann, ich bin selbst sehr erstaunt, dass der Song sogar immer noch funktioniert, also quasi zeitlos ist und nicht schlecht geschrieben... damals hatte ich ja bei weitem noch nicht die Qualitäten erreicht (wenn man das so nennen kann ;-)), die ich heute habe, aber der Song war trotzdem gut.
Das Solo ist sehr viel Melodie, die ich mir neu raussuchen musste mit ein paar Läufen hier und da improvisiert. Würde ich auch immer wieder etwas anders spielen bei jeder Aufnahme. Die Abwechslung machts! ;-)
Danke auf jeden Fall für das tolle Feedback, das mich wieder auf der musikalischen Wolke 7 schweben lässt! ;-)
Auch Dir ein schönes Wochenende, ich habe immerhin das "normale Wochenende" frei, aber Montag muss ich ran (aber es gibt auch Zuschlag, also ok!).

Musikalisch bist du dir treu geblieben. Hattest du seitdem jemals eine musikalische Pause gemacht, d.h. mal über mehr als 3 Monate keine Musik gemacht (oder sogar nicht gehört)?

Oja - als ich damals 2003 fest im Kino angefangen habe, habe ich die Musik ziemlich aus den Augen verloren. Nur alle paar Monate mal die 5, 6 Lieder gespielt, die ich schon immer gespielt habe. Fing dann erst wieder 2015 an, und 2016 kam der TH-cam Channel. Da waren also 12 Jahre mit langen Zeiten ohne Musik. Im Nachhinein schade, denn ich könnte viel weiter sein, was mein Können an der Gitarre betrifft, hätte ich keine Pause gemacht. Aber s'ist wie's ist, und et' kommt wie 'et kommt! ;-)

Nein, ich bin im Solieren deutlich besser geworden die letzten Jahre - auch ein Grund, warum ich viele Sachen nochmal neu aufnehme.
Deine Version finde ich immer noch total faszinierend, weil Du sie wirklich klingt, als hättest Du den Song selbst geschrieben... Jederzeit wieder!

Moin Andy, mit Anfang 20 haust du so einen Song raus? Warum um Himmelswillen hast du fen so lange versteckt. Klar in dem Alter haben wir ausser Drogen alles ausprobiert. Ich weiß nicht mehr was wir in den Nikolaus Pfeifen aus Ton so alles geraucht haben. Vielleicht wäre richtiges Zeug besser gewesen.
Dein Song hat ja echt alles drinn, von Herzschmerz bis zu super gitarrieren. Hut ab mein Freund, du hast es aus meiner Sicht echt total drauf und bist anscheinend bis heute deinem Stil treu geblieben. Ganz toll 🫶🫶

Ich bin selbst überrascht, dass der Song immer noch sehr gut funktioniert. Sowohl mein Gitarrenspiel als auch mein Gesang haben sich seit damals extrem verbessert, aber das Songschreiben war damals schon sehr gut. Hat mir Spaß gemacht, den mal wieder aufzunehmen in einer besseren Version!
