Just wanted to say I love the idea of using the straps to hold the wooden bar. I have been doing some overland camping and wanted a place to hang the collapsible shoe holders in the back. This will work perfect for that as well.
@@TheUnknownAngler thanks, have to give it a try ! I just took off my Denver Rod vault on the roof rack after 5 yr. The door hinges finally wore out and not about to spend another $5-600 on a new one.
