I was in Kisumu last year, for a whole week...and I can say the level of organisation in the city centre is amazing. Motor bikes are staged at specific places and their operation is not scrambling, it's a very organised pattern of picking up passengers. Even those going through the city, are disciplined following specific lanes and patterns of riding. Cars have patience, especially at junctions, and those packed within the city centre are properly spaced and organised. So many times you will see people packing well and chilling in their cars during breaks, and everyone is just calm. Passengers prefer walking on side lanes meant for that purpose, most motorists pay attention and respect each other. There's no aimless stand off and traffic jam because of the organisation, leave alone the fact that it's not as big as compared to Nrb or MSA. Road side hawking is not allowed, those spaces are for pavements and pedestrian lanes. And no trash dumping...., and the people are so amazing.., they make you feel so comfortable, from the side walks, to hotels, to taxi drivers, to boda riders. I loved my stay there. ... Reception is okay in two hotels I visited ,ie Sarova imperial, Acacia and Premier Hotels. (Meals, accommodation,)
