    Great suggestion on using the deflector plate for baking small breads on one side....lots of idea's going through my mind now haha😋👍

    This looks great! Just curious about the drip trays. Should they stay shiny and silver like this? Mine went tarnished and almost rusted after the first cook

      With exposure to heat, all metals will change colour. Mine are much darker in colour now in places, it's normal. Mine also now have patches of pure black which is where oils in the tray have been heated and polymerised bonding to the metal (seasoning!). They are stainless steal though so should not rust, are sure it is rust? Try using a Brillo pad on those areas to see how they clean up.

      Thin stainless is particularly susceptible to changes under high heat. It's to be expected.
      Long winded answer is that heat will drive change in the chromium portion of the steel and allow rust to form.
