FDC march to Kenya High Commission foiled, 14 protestors arrested including MP Semujju Nganda

Security operatives have foiled the FDC Katonga faction march to the Kenya High Commission and arrested 14 protestors including several Members of parliament. The FDC Katonga faction wanted to petition the Kenya High Commission in Kampala over what they termed as illegal kidnap, arrest, and abduction of 36 of their members who had gone to Kenya legally to attend a capacity building workshop in Kisumu. Police say the suspects who include Kira municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, Ingrid Turinawe, Doreen Nyanjula and others face charges related to holding an illegal procession.
