Congrats on the new wheel. 99% sure that driver restraint system malfunction is due to the airbag probably being a single-stage, as compared to your OEM dual stage airbag and needs to be coded through bimmercode, although I could be wrong. In your newer POV videos I see that the error is gone, so I assume you were able to fix it? How did you fix it? Lmk thanks
Just saw you had bought a whole new two stage airbag... Couldve coded in the old single stage airbag but congrats either ways man looks good.

Just had to make them “active” in BimmerCode

@@WhiskeyCityMiniBikes I got it on eBay, and I cleared the codes after installing and it went away

If it’s an option on the old AND new wheel it should work
I dont know if you fixed the driver restraint issue yet, but it goes away if you just clear the code. happened to me too and its been like 5 months and it didnt pop back up yet
Not yet, I have tried to clear the code but apparently I need a stage 2 airbag and I have a stage 1 I think

How did you get the driver restraint message to go away?
I bought a new oem airbag, some say you can code it to get the message to go away, but I’d rather be on the safe side and buy one that works from a factory car
