    I actually found one of these on the side of a road.
    And I got a big recovery booster pack and to be honest I use the little guy more often.
    Best find ever👍

    For the price, the topdon is a great thing to have in any small garage environment or as a great reserve booster pack. It is great you are now getting products sent to you as you will find little gems amongst them all.👍

    We got nocos. They're brilliant, but the cloth bag that comes with it is naff cos you can push the buttons on it when it's in the bag and switch the torch on or something without realising and flatten the battery. If the noco were to come in a box like that other one you are reviewing it would be better. 🙃🥴👍

      You can buy a hard case for the noco which keeps the charge cables etc safe as well !

    There's a similar case for the NOCO but it's not included. I like how the NOCO Boost X has USB-PD so it can also be used as a laptop power bank, I don't go anywhere without it

    • @impy1980
      @impy1980 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      USB PD is an awesome thing, all decent sized battery packs should have them. I'm familiar with USB PD coz I helped research power banks for a trucker who live streams who I chat moderate for and produce some video content for. He has a crazy setup, DSLR camera, 5 other action cameras around the truck, a video mixer to change cameras, low power mini computer for video ingestion and mobile sim routers, so it was important with had USB PD to power everything when the truck isn't running, and act as a buffer/power smoothing when it is. But no seriously, USB PD great if say your vehicle is dead, and your phone is dead, at least you got a way to charge your phone to get help.

    Our Noco at work is finally giving up, its done alot of work! Will be ordering another, but the Topdon looks like a good option for the light user / dedicated DIYer. 👍

  • @impy1980
    @impy1980 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If the cables are readily available, it won't be so bad, can be replaced, but what I like about the Noco design is the cables are stowed on it, so there's no chance of losing or forgetting them if the case magically disappears, as that sometimes happens over time. For the cost of the case they could've added the voltage readout, extra info always useful. Do a follow up at some point or mention in a video on performance, how long it lasts in comparison, how fast it charges, how many starts you can get, etc, etc, but if it's significantly cheaper, sounds decent to get someone out of a bind.
