@@carmelostella7718 The first version was on Chick's 1971 Return to Forever album "Light as a Feather". Most versions are close to the original arrangement though, here Chick has re-arranged it to be much more "fusion" (and complex) instead of the more traditional jazz version.
this is a treasure, my most fave version of spain - with sax solo and guitar i´ve got the same concert on tape record, from 88, from Prague, CZ ... they played all those pieces from eye of the beholder album + spain and few tracks from patitucci and marienthal first cds ... whole concert was astounding, probably still the best (even i´m huge fan of elektric band II. ) this is real gem of 80´s
Hi, did you ever get the BBC live show that was from the Festival hall in around 89/90? I was there and had it on tape... But lost it!! They started with 3 RTF tracks - please help if you can!

This in my opinion is the best show ever played by CCEB. By far, my favorite show ever. They cracked the earth that night. These guys are geniuses.
simply the greatest band ever....in the entire universe.....maybe? if there is a better band on another planet....I WANT TO HEAR THEM!!!! LOL

It really is the best version isn't it? The Elektric Band at their peak.
Beautiful variation on the original. Only Chick can carry you away from the first to the second and keep you guessing, all the way to the end.
My God this concert sounds good with headphones. If you're just listening on a phone or laptop, definitely get your headphones out.
